            No harm in a bit of emotion big man, realisation is kicking in that he'll no longer be playing in red at anfield ever again.

              I was over the moon when he finally scored that goal on his injury comeback against Leisecter (sp) around the 2001/02 season.

                        I sincerely hope he gets to score in Athens...it would be fitting. Because his goal celebration would be something else: A T-shirt underneath with *** off Mancs" on it or something similar. You just know he's do something..what are they going to do fine him / sack him?

                        thanks Robbie - All the best lad.

                          All of the above.
                          I was there when he got his first goal after coming back, against Fulham, the header at the far post, was as pleased as if id scored it myself.

                            Last 5 mins of ET, he comes on and smacks the winner in the top corner for a 2-1 victory.
                            What i'd give for that to happen.

                              His every goal was a source of delight. There are all the obvious ones, all the great goals/moments already mentioned in this thread...but there are other, less-lauded ones too. The volley at West Ham. The goal against Villa when he flummoxed Stan Staunton. Brann Bergen, obv. The "no penalty" appeal after the challenge from Seaman , the volley at Leicester to complete his hat-trick, the 'Boys Own stuff' goal against Alaves, the free-kick against Wycombe....I could go on forever.

                              I doubt we'll ever see anyone like him again at Anfield.
                              I think that just sums up how special he was.
                              EVERY single goal gave you a rush, no matter what type, the simple or the sublime. I was addicted to seeing him score in any way, never happier than to see him turn to celebrate.

                              TRULY UNIQUE and just beautiful that he got to come back for 18 months.

                                There's way too many good memories and goals to list only one. I'd say my fave goals would be;

                                5. Carling Cup final vs Brum or UEFA Cup Final vs Alves.

                                4. Fowler vs Reading 2006 - Carling cup match, when he chipped it over the keeper from outside the box. Pure Fowler.

                                3. Fowler vs Villa - Think this was around the 96/97 season, he scored two and we were 3-0 up in 7 minutes.

                                2. 3 min hatrick vs Arsenal - says it all.

                                1. Fowler vs Neville - Cuntona's comeback, but Robbie scored two in a 2-2 draw. Comes down the left channel, runs with the ball, skins Neville ( ) and belts the **** out of the ball, top corner, Schmeicel falls on his back.

                                Thanks for the memories God
