Robbie Fowler thanks boss Rafael Benitez for giving him a second chance at Liverpool and admits he was fighting back the tears after his final game at Anfield.

yup, out of all of the great memories, that goal against bran stands out for me. Just amazing skill which I have never seen since.

That is high up on my list too.
He absolutely made a fool out of Schmeichel that day.

When Vinny Jones grabbed Gazza by the balls
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                          * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

His first game back, I got the tickets a day before he re-signed. Had a tear down my face when he come on. He had many amazing moments before this. but I had never felt so much emotion like that before for a single player.

He scored an over head kick in the last few minutes of that game to win it, it was offside and I apologise to the row in front when I tumbled over the lot of them when I celebrated. A legend in the true sense.

One of the last of a dying breed. Footy now is win at any cost. A smile was/is never far from Robbie's face on or off the field.

That has to be the goal he scored against some Norwegian side (I can't remember the name ) and it was an away game.

He seized on a Ruddock pass and backheeled the ball into his path and then slammed a left footer pass the keeper. Absolute genius.

There are so many more ... Like the double he scored at OT for Cantona's comeback, or even the double he scored in THAT game against Newcastle.

Robbie was fantastic, the best goalscorer I've ever seen.
