I wouldn't start with Kewell, he can't be 100% fit and would be an ideal sub for the last 20 mins or so if we are chasing the game. i'd start with Zenden.

I still think Zenden will start the final with Kewell coming on maybe in the last 25 minutes when Maldini and co tire.

I see this myself. But with doubt over how long he can play for, it might be better to start him and sub him when he runs out of fuel than bringing him on as a sub with 30 min to go and him tiring or getting injured with 10 minutes to go or extra time looming?

I know the above sounds cynical, but it's a reality we have to consider.

He starts for me.

He makes us a much better side, both in terms of balance and quality. I'd rather start him - to give us a better chance of being in a better position with half an hour to go, rather than send him on as an "impact sub" when we're 2-0 down and Zenden's had another nightmare.

I thought that he did very well against Chelsea in the CL. He brings a clamness to the team which I think will be vital in the opening stages against Milan.

I'm made up that Harry is coming good and would be a great option to bring on. Realistically does anyone think he can give us 90 minutes against a top quality side?

I'd sooner he started, helps us attack better, give us genuine width and quality on the ball, help get us in front, then take him off after an hour for Zenden, to "stiffen things up" and protect our lead. We're better at protecting leads than chasing deficits - although, of course, we didn't do so badly chasing the game in Istanbul.

Just watched the Milan game (1-1 against some ****e team). They were all playing, Gattuso, Kaka, Seedorf and Pirlo. The sheer lack of pace all through the game was amazing. It's like watching the PL on slowmotion.

Zendens done ok playing wide left, not brilliant but ok. People forget he's not a left winger anymore, his pace has long gone. He's a central midfielder now, but in what is likely to be a tight 1st half, Zenden will do what he does best, keep us compact, retain the ball well and do his fair share of defensive work.

To be honest i would be surprised if maldini would last for 45 minutes, if Kuyt starts he will tire him and then we have kewell who is fresh and he would do the same plus we have others.

Milans weekest point is thier defence and we have to take advantage of that. If liverpool find a way/strategy to keep Kaka quiet then we stand a good chance of wining.

As for that knob gattuso he better watch, Gerrard will be fired up.

Kewell was excellent today. He actually looks leaner than before he was injured. Although that's not tough.
