The commentary on MoTD was awful. I'm all for giving women a shot but every time Charlton attacked she said "Chinese Captain Zheng" or "The Chinese Captain".
That aside, Padelli did look very nervous. I wouldn't give up on him yet by any means but I would be concerned if he was our only cover for Pepe next season.

I'm surprised by the reaction of people on here.
I didn't see the game, but it was his first game FFS, let's not write him off already.
It's already been stated that he is the Italian U/21 keeper, gee he can't be that crap then can he? Lets think of some recent Italian keepers: Gianluigi Buffon and Francesco Toldo. Now here's Danielle Padelli. What do they have in common? No, not gay first names, but they were/are all Italian U/21 keepers.
Don't write him off yet.On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

She was dire again. I lost count of the amount times she just said nothing as a major incident developed - it was as if she got stagefright.Originally posted by bigfooty View PostThe commentary on MoTD was awful. He's a kid starting his first senior game at Anfield.
To write him off based on a single performance is a tad harsh.
Based on yesterday's performance Mascherano was terrible."The definition of insanity is not running into the same wall again and again; it's expecting a different result every time you do it."

and there is no bigger occasion than the mighty CharltonOriginally posted by dww View PostHe's only on loan we can send him back. However some keepers seem to need time to get used to big occasions and he is only a kid so he may deserve another chance. I'll trust Rafa's judgement on this one I think.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Anyone making any kind of judgment on a player based on one game is clearly an arse. Of course some of you may have watched his reserve appearances so that would exempt you.
As for the woman commentator, I completely forgot about her after the first thirty seconds because I was too busy laughing at the inane play from both sides. Arbeloa's miss was a highlight although the "China captain" ran him close for comedy value..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
