It will be interesting to see who will be our 2nd choice next season. Carson wants first team football so may go. I think we'll need to sign someone with plenty of experience.

He's only on loan we can send him back. However some keepers seem to need time to get used to big occasions and he is only a kid so he may deserve another chance. I'll trust Rafa's judgement on this one I think.

The difference in having Padelli in goal rather than Reina was incredible. Every time the ball went near him we looked likely to concede.

There was one moment of dire indecision that almost cost us - you just know Reina would've committed, taken the ball and probably cleaned the attacker out just for good measure.

I was having kittens every time Padelli was called into action.

Harsh to lay into him after his debut, but it's difficult to imagine the boy has a future with us.

Padelli looked very nervous and he was not helped by the defence in front of him. He can't be our no2 under any circumstances as he looked out of his depth. If Carson wants out then a new no 2 is needed. Personally i'd go for an experienced keeper, not sure who though to be honest.

spot on H9 mate, thats what i wanted to say..we need a experienced GK to help out Martin & Padelli(if he's signed).
Anti Neimi is a very good GK, he would do well for us.
Sorensen at Villa as well, if he wants to be #2.

He was scared ****less whenever the play approached him, and frankly so was I!

Can't see him being kept on, he looked well out of his depth. OK it was just one game and it could've been the nerves, but he really was that poor.
