In 2005 I would have said go right ahead. This time around I really would put it all on LFC. Not just because we are Reds. We are a better side than Milan this time around. I can get 7-5 on Milan to win over 90 minutes at Paddy Power so I reckon if I put (say) £500 on Milan to win that would at least pay for my most of my trip to Athens and (only slightly) soften the blow if we lose. ill give you an insight into how my head works.....
Whenever Liverpool are in a final and I know im going to be ****ing nervous, jumpy and not at all confident about the result I always bet against them, the reasoning is this - if we lose then at least i made some cash and it kinda softens the blow...if we win (as we usually do) then whatever I bet and lose is a small price to pay for us winning! Its like I have somehow paid for the victory!! ha ha ha ha, is this weird or do some of you guys think like this?!
p.s - my £20 is already on Milan just like it was in 2005!!!! (same betting shop, same day of week bet placed)

I bet on LFC v Milan to be in the final before the Barca game, and turned my $100 into $1400 ALREADY.
Now I have $100 on LFC to win outright, $100 on a 3-2 LFC win, and $100 for LFC to win in regular time. if all three lose, I'm still up $1000. Otherwise I'm up a ton.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
