I'm prepared to see what Rafa does if, and its a big IF, he gets big money to spend. My point is Voronin is so far from the player we need its incredible, and it suggests to me that Rafa hasn't learned from three seasons in English football. He has been like this all through his managerial career...he isnt the man to win Liverpool FC the premiership, end of story.

What if Voronin allows us to play Kuyt up front. Is he still "not the player we need?".

I watch a lot of german football as my old man is half german and a munich fan. He looks a decentish player in an average league, nothing more than that. 'Established international', who i guarantee the vast majority (not all) would never have even heard of before last summer. Get all defensive about him if you like, deep down nobody is excited about Voronin, he is a rafa type player for a rafa type system and we all know where that gets us in the premier league.

So - you haven't actually watched him 'live' then? And you're basing your assessment on the fact yer dad's half german and he support's Munich and so you get to see highlights of Leverkusen games on the telly and maybe full games when they play Munich. Nice one.
You say nobody is 'excited' which I grant you is probably true - but it doesn't mean the vast majority wont be behind him 100% when he pulls on that red shirt. Shame you've already made up your mind that he's gonna be a failure.

We got stung for 7 big ones from Soton when we got him - but now we could sell him and make approx £5m profit such has been his impact. Nobody foresaw what he would do for us - except Rafa. I think we should afford Voronin the same luxury.

I have no opinion of Voronin. If he is ****, he is out the door, if not then he stays. He cost **** all so nothing ventured and all that.

I just hope he justifies such a hairstyle.

I don't personally rate Crouch, so i can't really see your point. Besides, there have been plenty of times when Rafa hasn't exactly shown a great deal of faith in the big man.

This isn't so much an attack on Voronin, that would be unfair. Attacking Rafa because he has no idea how to win the league is fair, i think we would all agree.
