We got stung for 7 big ones from Soton when we got him - but now we could sell him and make approx £5m profit such has been his impact. Nobody foresaw what he would do for us - except Rafa. I think we should afford Voronin the same luxury.

For the record I think he will be a valuable addition to the squad and hope he will achieve cult status. Him being 'the difference' is a big claim to make and personally I doubt it but I think he deserves support.

I've not seen an awful lot of Voronin but will support him 100% when he pulls the red shirt on. If he isn't the answer then Rafa will move him on fairly sharpish as always.

I will form an opinion when he has played ten games + for us, you never know what will happen when a player comes to a new league, when we signed players like Molby, Houghton, Hansen, Nicol, Whelan, Rush, Finnan, Reina, the list is endless, we never knew the impact and quality they could bring to the club.
I am not wetting myself with excitement, but i was when we signed Morientes for example, proven elsewhere does not mean proven in the EPL just look at Ballack and Shevchenko.

saw voronin play in a 3-1 win away at dortmund in december, had never heard of him before that. After about 15mins i noticed a long blonde haired guy upfront making nuisance of himself, was diving around and complaining. he then scored an open goal after a great move from leverkusen. the guy never stopped diving and complaining, and with that stupid hair of his, he really started to get on my nerves. subsequently me and my mate decided to boo him for the rest of the game and took great joy from the fact he missed several good chances (including an open goal from 6 yards) and got no calls from the ref. the next week i logged on to est. and to my horror we've signed this guy who i thought was ****e and a complete ******. obviously i watched him since but not in the flesh and its very difficult to convince me he's a good signing. i am coming around a bit, he scored a couple of good goals and his movement looks very good, as well as being a problem for defenders. but he needs to cut his hair, stop diving and learn spend long periods on the bench to keep me happy
