If the quotes are true, and that is indeed his attitude, you can expect a sharpish exit for voronin. There is now way Rafa would tolerate that kind of attitude.

Errrr I thought fighting talk would be exactly what he wanted to hear.... or is he supposed to say......
"Yeah...I'm going to Liverpool because they offered me loads of cash and i'll be happy to take that and sit on the bench...because I'm not good enough to start in the first team..."

OK I do like the fighting talk, but you kind of missed the point of me posting it.

It is quotes like:

"I haven't made this decision to just sit on the bench," Voronin told the club's official website.

and:

"I will be coming to get into the team and form a partnership with someone."

So tell me this, what if he does play well and gets dropped for a few matched like Crouch has been dropped through the season, the scenario is very likely considering Rafa tactical approach. He will have to learn that just because he is playing well, it doesn't guarantee him a starting place. Not in Rafa's eyes anyway.
He will not be forging a partnership with one player, not under a Rafa Benitez led Liverpool side.
Will he accept Rafa decision if he says he is not coming to sit on the bench? I still say he needs to change his attitude and realize that Rafa is different to all other managers.

What he's saying, and what the articles headline is saying is at odds with eachother. I.e he's saying he's not just coming to LFC to be a bench warmer but to fight as hard as he can to be a regular feature in the first team.

The headline in typical (we need to sell more copies of the paper so lets take what someone says out of context, twist it and make up bull**** that sells well) trash journalism is a mis-representation of what he's saying.

Basically the story is again a fine example of lazy, sensationalised ****e.

I watch a lot of german football as my old man is half german and a munich fan. He looks a decentish player in an average league, nothing more than that. 'Established international', who i guarantee the vast majority (not all) would never have even heard of before last summer. Get all defensive about him if you like, deep down nobody is excited about Voronin, he is a rafa type player for a rafa type system and we all know where that gets us in the premier league.

To be honest i think Rafa is going for the blonde look hence Voronin. Look at his signings, Crouch, Voronin, Kuyt, Bellamy. Blonde bombshells im telling you

He will surprise a lot of people on here. He is no world beater but is still a very hnady player, one that i am glad that we have got.

He'll be a great option to play between the lines. More than anything else I want Kuyt playing as a center forward. With Voronin used to playing in both midfield and up front, he'll be the key to kuyt getting 20+ next season.
