I know your'e taking the mick, it's just a shame somany people think like that, regardless of whether it's Voronin or some other unknown.

He will suprise people as he's better than most ralise. But I take the point that LFC should be signing the best players around. It's like Morgan said a couple of years back: LFC should be buying the best and competing for the best trophies.

Was he the best player at Leverkusen, never mind the Budesliga. The jury is out. Good player and he will do okay, and on a free who can complain. But to win the league we will have to asses at the end of the season and see how we do.

Hopefully he'll prove to be good enough to do what he's likely coming in for - provide quality backup for our strikers in what is set to be another gruelling season and be decent enough that if someone is out of form, injured, or in need of a break for whatever reason, we can drop them without worrying too much.

I agree with you he's not the kind of signing that is likely to give us what we're missing in order to win the league, but if he is of a good standard then what his signing does mean is that we have that much more to spend on the kind of player that really does have a big impact and drops straight into the first team.

I think it's right we see his signing in those terms, and judge him on that basis, anything extra he gives will be a very welcome bonus. From my limited viewing he looks a tidy enough player and one that would adapt to the Prem quickly enough, plus his comments suggest he is here to do more than collect a nice weekly pay packet.

He'll be a great option to play between the lines. More than anything else I want Kuyt playing as a center forward. With Voronin used to playing in both midfield and up front, he'll be the key to kuyt getting 20+ next season.

Voronin would be a good back up for our strikers. Now it's up to him to challenge for a first team place and it seems he has the right mentality to succeed. I've seen him play once and I quite liked what I saw.
