Well, let's face it - DIC outbid Gillett significantly originally. Moores panicked when he heard DIC were attracting investors based on their estimated return in five years (which ANY investor would want to know), went back to Gillett, rushed things through without proper DD....and now the chickens appear to be coming home to roost.

If it's true, then they've been deliberately misleading, and it will raise questions about why their bid was accepted over DIC's, because THEY did guarantee major funds. G&H made a bigger offer to shareholders, so Moores would be laid wide open to claims he sold LFC up the river for a few extra bob.

However, it depends what you think we need. If we sell Bellamy, which seems likely, then we'll have around £8M or £9M, if the figures talked about are accurate. We should get around £5M for Cissé and we may even sell Kewell for a couple of million. Then there's TV money on top. We could still have a gross spend of £25M or more. We already have a good side. I just think a bit of genuine width and someone up front with pace who's more disciplined with his runs than Bellamy might make quite a difference. Part of our problem is how congested our midfield gets; a quality wide player would go a long way to creating space for certain others to play better.

What a ****ing joke. We have been sucked in by these two yanks sayng they are going the bring sucess to LFC. They have been sucked in by the tyde saying it's fashionable to bye a PL club, tell the fans what they want to hear, that they are going buy top class players, that they are going to compete. Complete bull****e more like. It's ok we are going to have a not bad stadium built for us, that's fantastic if that's what u want. But we want and deserve better. Compete and be competitive. Youre right, the window has been open for about 3 weeks and we've signed no one. Well we bought that Brazilian and some youth players and Voronin and getting a new stadium but other than that, we've been sucked right in.
