We've signed LL; we've signed up our 4 most important players to long term contracts; according to Seville we made a 19m euro bid for Alves which they rejected; we've apparently made a bid for Malouda, but like Alves whenever a target becomes public knowledge it sparks a bidding war because Chelsea become involved; so either we are working under the radar to secure deals before our interest becomes known; our we're ****ed because the count said so.

It may be worth pointing out that Johnny H has got a lot right over the years, but his recent track record isn't great.

Let's give it a few more hours before calling for public executions.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

If it's true, then they've been deliberately misleading, and it will raise questions about why their bid was accepted over DIC's, because THEY did guarantee major funds. G&H made a bigger offer to shareholders, so Moores would be laid wide open to claims he sold LFC up the river for a few extra bob.

However, it depends what you think we need. If we sell Bellamy, which seems likely, then we'll have around £8M or £9M, if the figures talked about are accurate. We should get around £5M for Cissé and we may even sell Kewell for a couple of million. Then there's TV money on top. We could still have a gross spend of £25M or more. We already have a good side. I just think a bit of genuine width and someone up front with pace who's more disciplined with his runs than Bellamy might make quite a difference. Part of our problem is how congested our midfield gets; a quality wide player would go a long way to creating space for certain others to play better.

Complete bull****e more like. It's ok we are going to have a not bad stadium built for us, that's fantastic if that's what u want. But we want and deserve better. Compete and be competitive. Sit in your new seat at our new stadium and watch a bunch of second rate players play for our almighty club getting paid £60,000 a week and achieving nothing. BULL****!!!!!

Youre right, the window has been open for about 3 weeks and we've signed no one. Well we bought that Brazilian and some youth players and Voronin and getting a new stadium but other than that, we've been sucked right in. I mean, what will we do this time next week if we havent bought Eto'o or Kaka? Im hope the canal is long because we will all be down there by the end of the month throwing ourselves in.
