It was less than £ 9M I think, but yes, could raise to as much with clauses I'd assume.

I really don't know mate, I for one believe in Bascombe and he's not been a happy bunny the last couple of weeks. But as I said, I won't lose any sleep if we end up with Darren Bent. I'd be more worried if Rafa is pissed off, which has been hinted by Bascombe, albeit thinly veiled.

this is ****ing ridiculous now, i mean worse case scenario is we havent signed anyone "big" but have snapped up some awesome youngsters and signed up all our existing superstars long term, got a new stadium on the way and have Rafa in charge.

But.....and please quote me on this in aug/sept......we WILL sign some great players this summer! Undoubtedly, 100% certain, we will buy big.

Well its something that has actually happened rather than hearsay and posts on internet forums. We've spunked nigh on 10mil on someone who plays in an area we dont need to re-enforce. Thats not going to happen if thats all the moeny we have is it? Rafa wouldve used that moeny elsewhere.

I don't think that could be applied in the transfer market mate, as a players value will be the one a club is willing to pay for him, for example Essien's / Drogba's / Rooney's transfer fees.
