Spurs wouldn't they pay very low wages (in footballing terms). However Newcastle are willing to turn down £6m for Dyer who is on £60k-ish so they clearly don't care about money.

The fact that u continue to spew forth venom towards one of your own players, a player that has played through constant pain for the club, is embarassing to u as a Liverpool Supporter.

Then again, he did nearly desert the club he loves twice in 2 seasons for the sake of trophies, scream "im the f*cking man" and shrug away teammates when scoring goals, and then state in his autobiography that he will show the club love just as long as the club makes it worth his while...oh, no, hang on, that wasnt Harry...Harry knocked back a host of clubs offering more money just for the chance to play for his favourite club, and has been preety much injred since. Wheter u like it or not, Rafa rates him - and it wouldnt be difficult at all to offload him, injuries or not, there are a host of clubs that would take him if we wanted rid.

I hope he will repay us with at least a couple of good games until he gone, by **** he owes us. I am sure you will be quick to ram that back at me, however, it will never change the fact he is a mediocre player

A fit Kewell is one of the best left sided midfielders in the world and he always works his socks off.

The problem is his fitness. He will need more than a few friendlies and competitive games for us and Australia before he is match fit again.

We will probably have to wait three months plus before he is 100% match fit. He hasn't been 100% for a few years so it will take time for him to get back to his best again but Harry is a fighter and he loves the club so he will have a chance to get back to his best again.

What almost everyone seems to forget is that he could have got more than £60k/week from another club but he choosed the club he loves, Liverpool.

I don't think anyone in the squad will be as eager as Kewell this season to prove so many people wrong that doubts him.

I will never doubt him because I know he will give 100% everytime he plays for us and to get back to 100% again.

I can't believe the way some of you give so much stick to a Liverpool player that has hardly had the best time with injuries.

In his first 6 months at the club he scored something like 9 or 10 league goals alone and remembering the days on Koptalk, I'm sure he was leading player of the season standing there and on the offal.

Then he was hit with that injury and GH brought him back way too early because he was out of options. Kewell came back still injured, to help the team. He hasn't been right ever since.

His 05 - 06 form i thought was quite good, considering he was at 60-70% fitness. He provided great balance on the left hand side, hugging the chalk, being a good enough outlet for Alonso that allowed Gerrard to roam free and not be restricted to the right hand side, coinciding coincidentally with the best scoring year of Stevie's career. Not to mention he demolished Chelsea on his own in that FA Cup Semi final, before getting injured again in the final.

I think the last straw came last season when Rafa must have just rathered go through a whole season with Zenden and Gonzalez on the left and get Harry right to give it one last go at 100% fitness. The year off last season was much needed IMHO.

This pre-season he hasn't looked completely match fit and looks to have lost a yard of pace, however, he didn't seem like that in the Asia Cup. When put through by Cahill, he raced nearly 35 yards before slotting past the keeper and he actually looked quite quick.

I just think that Rafa has told him that he would rather Harry test himself in the premiership proper rather than go 100% in a friendly and snap something before the season starts. Remember that all of our pre-season games have been played in immense heat, the conditions in England will be far more suitable to test a player like Harry returning from injury. Rafa said it himself in one of his interviews after the Feynoord game that "Harry was replaced by Babel for precaution only".

Rafa obviously rates him. For those who say he gives no effort and doesn't deserve to wear the shirt, it's quite obvious that one of the main qualities our manager looks for in a player is HARD WORK and COMMITMENT and if Harry didn't have that, I'm sure he would have been shipped out already. The fact is though that Rafa continues to talk about him "like a new signing".

There is no doubt that this is his make or break season. Personally, I don't know whether he will perform or not, but I will support him until the day he stops wearing the red shirt of Liverpool.

I think I do from watching him everytime he plays.He gives us nothing.
There are players all over the world in different leagues that would offer more than him.Simple as that.He should be on a pay as you play contract for us at this stage.

It's a debate forum and I can say what I like.It must sicken young reserves and youth who go up to Melwood and train alongside him and see him get in the side so easy.They would go through a wall to get in the side and they earn a fraction of what he gets.He cheats the fans and should be out.
