    Who does your dad(mam) support?

My dad follows spurs a little, my 2 oldest brothers got infected by the dark side and my next oldest and me saw the light(thank f**k). I wa sjust wondering how many dont follow in their parents footsteps in supporting their club. My 6 year old girl is liverpool mad, not that she had any choice, but its cos of me she is this way and as will all my kids. How could any true fan let their offspring support someone else, god help any of my future kids start following anyone else, instant disownment.

My dad was a sort of Spurs fan, think during his uni days at the LSE he lived just up the road or something and quite a few of his mates used to go to White Hart Lane, so he did too.

However, I was never really indoctrinated by my dad with 'Support my club or this or that', he just let me do whatever (which is also a reason I only started following football later on).
Also, back in days in Germany we just didn't have Cable or Sky or anything; we used to always watch and support England though, those were great father-son days right up until I sadly adopted the '**** England' attitude which just happened when one becomes too aware of all the 'The Manager's ****' 'We're ****' 'Why do I bother' stuff (back in the days it was just great to watch footie with the only other male in the house + dad )

My kids would support Liverpool, but only if they show an interest in football. I don't want to (even unwittingly) urge them into something that I enjoy but they might not - goes for pretty much everything (music/instruments/sports/arts/etc.)

lol aye, I live here, I do feel sorry for a lot of genuine, hopskip bubbles n jokes Leeds fans who have seen such a terrible demise of their club. I often wonder what would have happened (obviously, it wouldn't) if we had been hit like that. It's a sad state of affairs for Leeds fans, I must say I have sympathy, because most of the fans I know are nice, normal people.

My Dad is 70 and a lifelong Spurs fan. He saw them do the Double at the start of the '60's and has always thought Jimmy Greaves was the greatest pure goal poacher ever.

My Mum is a Liverpool supporter. It was she who went out with instructions to buy me a Sunderland kit in 1974 but could only find a Liverpool kit. The rest is history.

Mum loves Stevie MBE and thinks Rafa's magic.

Parents are Liverpool born and bred (like me) and my kids are German born and bred but of course are Liverpool daft.

My step-dad supports Spurs......as do most of the dads on this thread so far it seems, and most of the best mates on the Pepe Reina thread.

                      How strange

My dads a Manc and my mam supports the Toon. It's hard work bringing credibility to the fmily but I do my best.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
