Every single player (about 30 of them?) who has gone out on loan under Rafa hasn't played again for the club in a competitive match.

      It's an astonishing stat.

None of them were good enough, Ged loned Warnock out and Rafa used him, he may still use Hamill or Anderson but none of the others I reckon.
        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

And you are wrong about that.

Interesting stat, and i'm pretty sure it's correct, although I think it only really goes to prove how much **** Houllier filled the squad with and how poor the players coming through the ranks are.

I expect that stat to hopefully change by next season

I think there was a thread on this a while back, and people listed a couple of players that were exceptions to this rule.

LeTallec was loaned out before he came and played against Juve, was it Rafa who loaned him out though...?

Liverpool teenager Jimmy Ryan has completed his move to Shrewsbury Town on a month's loan.

Shrews boss Gary Peters signed the midfielder, 18, after he impressed during a pre-season trial spell with the League Two side.

Ryan is added to Shrewsbury's squad for their Carling Cup tie against Colchester United on Tuesday night.

Peters face a number of injury doubts and Ryan will increase his options for the tie at the New Meadow Stadium.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah, I think you are right, and AA was right.

Apart from Gonzalez, but that was under different circumstances.

Anyone know why Hammil wasn't involved in Southamptons game yesterday?? Injury maybe or maybe Rafa asked for him not to play in the carling cup

Paul Anderson has scored for Swansea in the Carling Cup.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                              From BBC

                              Swansea 2-0 Walsall
Swansea City progressed through to the second round of the Carling Cup beating Walsall 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium.
Paul Anderson's first half goal proved enough for the Swans, with Walsall rarely threatening.

Anderson netted after 22 minutes, sending a superb right-foot volley past Walsall 'keeper Clayton Ince from the edge of the area.

In injury time Jason Scotland made it 2-0, netting his second goal of the new season in a comfortable victory.
