I imagine either advertising for sale or because sometimes competitive football at any level is better for development than having none. At the level of the Championship and PL physical strength and know how often means that older players get in ahead of more naturally talented youngsters. At league one/two level many teams have many more of their squad as young players meaning that loan players have a much better chance of a run.Originally posted by leviathan1984 View PostAnderson, Antwi, Peltier & Smith start for Swansea, Hartlepool, Yeovil & Stockport
Stockport, League Two - what's the point?!?
I'm not sure those sort of moves are useful if over long but for 6 months or so could be very useful for a players development. Whether that be to our first team level or to a point where they can be sold on for decent money."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Apparently a cracking strike too.Originally posted by ronan View Postguthrie has started and scored tonightI could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Hadn't seen this repported anywhere else... from Yahoo! World Sport
• Scott Carson, the England under-21 goalkeeper, has told Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez he does not want to return to Anfield when his loan spell with Aston Villa runs out at the end of the season. Carson believes he has a better chance of forcing his way into the full England roster at Villa Park. "I moved to Villa with a view to it being permanent at the end of the season and that is what I would like to happen," Carson said.jD
