he feels hard done by......and after the weekends events, 99% of you on here also felt we were hard done by.

How many years is it since we started a season at home? 4 or 5 isn't it? Chelsea at home just after Roman had bought them was the last one i can remember.........and thats just not right.

You're absolutely right. Man U seem to get either a newly-promoted team or one of the lower level premier league clubs at home as their first fixture every season. It's great when it doesn't work out for them like when 10-man Reading got a draw there, but most seasons they seem to get a nice kick-start to their season.

Why is it that they always seem to get a home start every season and we always, but always, seem to be away?

How embarrassing. This paranoia against LFC is getting ridiculous. I've got all the respect in the world for Rafa but this article makes us look like whingeing losers. And as for it being hard for us to get mascherano but easy for tevez to join Utd - absolute bobbins! Hopefully these comments will disappear un noticed.

They make more sense than your comments. Liverpool were delayed from signing Mascherano for months, while Man U kick up a fuss about Tevez and it's all settled in weeks - a very considerably shorter period. Some so-called fans on here make me laugh

Others (manure etc) get to play Tues and Sunday. Thats two more days to prepare. That definitely stacks the deck against us.

I think it's the fact that more than likely one of our main rivals on the same weekend will have the 4pm Sunday kick off.
Now, in anyone's book that does provide them with an advantage with recovery time.

Can anyone remember a weekend where we had a 4pm Sunday k.o, while for instance Utd had this graveyard 12.30pm Saturday K.o??

I suspect this kind of scheduling is more to do with the fact that as one of the top teams, sky will invariably want to show our game.
I see it as a sky issue, as they will often want to show as many top teams as possible over a given weekend, and I think they see Utd as a bigger draw hence the peak slot on the sunday for them, while we keep being punted to their ****ty early saturday slot. So we benefit in the fact that Sky deem most of our games worthy of broadcasting, and take our wedge etc for it, but we draw the short straw in terms of popularity from within Sky in comparison with Utd games (which we all know Sky just LURRVE, look at keyes, he near damn well wets himself when they're on)

So, in summary, I'm okay with Rafa having a whinge about the PL and what looks like a certain bias towards utd re: tevez and Heinze affairs.

But his moan about scheduling should have been directed squarely at Sky sports, and hopefully we would see them mix up their scheduling from the usual early ko for lfc games, prime time sunday slot for Utd.
PS: it's also only ever an issue after a midweek game (either europe or internationa games) but there should be more fairness between the 4 top teams who will obviously have the most internationals away.

Thats quite an outburst from Rafa, its unlike him. Personally, I dont like excuses and by the sound of it he's trying to find some so if things go tits up he can say this and that. Houllier in his last 2 seasons was full of silly excuses, bad pitch this and bad weather that.
Rafa always dealt with things in a dignified manner but this time am not so sure. Just concentrate on winnin' matches and forget about Heinze man.

I think we have to take this in context mate, after the ****e decision on Sun and now the Heinze decision probably mixed with a few other things he's just blowing off steam.
I think it's a one off I'm glad he's done it and now we get back onto the matters at hand, Rafa is not going to distract himself or his players with this type of stuff.

Sincerely, I really wonder if these people on the panel understand LAW. If not, they are certainly not fit to sit on the panel. In addition, are they totally neutral? Have they benefited from dealings with Manchester United previously.

As Rafa specifically said, the PL 'panel' of two chose to believe what Taggart and Gill had to say rather than the letter. There is no other explanation for Rafas statement about accepting the word of people who had made a mistake (in giving Heinze the letter).

That's complete bollocks mate. The fundamental issue that everyone ignores is that an 'agreement to agree' is not legally binding under UK law. No such agreement in whatever form (a letter/taped conversation in this case) is enforceable. This was a clear case of an agreement to agree. Case closed, end of, black and white.
