Rafa Not Happy

How embarrassing. This paranoia against LFC is getting ridiculous. I've got all the respect in the world for Rafa but this article makes us look like whingeing losers. And as for it being hard for us to get mascherano but easy for tevez to join Utd - absolute bobbins! Hopefully these comments will disappear un noticed.

Whats embarrassing?The fact that a player wants to join us,a fee which has been set by a selling club met, and a signed document given to a player saying likewise should hold no meaning?

Why shouldn't we feel hard done by?

Forgetting football for second,in any other walk of life,this surely couldn't happen.If an employer thinks that your not good enough for the job and gets in a replacement for you,you have the right to find youself a job wherever and with whoever you like.Surely thats just basic human rights,no?

Thats the problem Rafa has with this whole thing.It's only because it's man utd that the prem lge have failed to rule in the players favour.

Just look at the whole Tevez thing,the whole thing stinks.We didn't deal with a third party in order for us to sign Mascha.West ham tore up any contractual agreement they had with the player which meant only one party held his registration which was the company represented by Kia Joorabchian therefore we only had to deal with them.West ham blatantly lied about the deals and were found guilty.The reason they were only fined and not docked points was because they said tevez was actually there player and no other party was involved with him.Now he signs for utd on loan with a view to a permanent move and west ham don't get a penny.How is that possible if the players worth £20-30m?I really hope that sheffield utd take there case as far as they can.But it will prove to be a waste of time.

Sorry guys, but people who are going on about comments like this being embarrassing and cringeworthy are naive and not living in the real world.

Man Utd and Chelsea have often bullied the authorities into getting their own way using similar tactics to what Rafa is using now. Sometimes comments like these are the only way you can protect the club's interest.

Rafa is clearly using this to foster team unity and create that seige mentality which all successful teams have. I see this working for us.

Top post. I only got half way down the first page till i read this and decided it was spot on. I love Rafa being the diplomatic master and doing it the the Liverpool way. The fact is though it does us no favours except winning the fair play award each year.

I applaud Rafa here, he has tried to do things with respect and dignity and he obviously feels he has not received any benefit from that while he has watched Chelsea & The Mancs use intimidatory tactics both on and off the field and they are receiving benefits.

He's decided to draw a line in the sand and do a Jose. Its seige mentality from now on and i love it. Keeps the players focused on whats important, winning every game and keeps them unified at the same time.

Don't get me wrong, we should be concerned about these things - we never want to seem or act crassly and without class like the Chavs, or the Scum, for example - but I feel sometimes we hold ourselves up to notions of standards which are phantom from the offset.


I don't think Rafa said anything outrageous. It sounds like David Gill and the Scum took the opportunity of the hearing to piss all over LFC. It's that shower of **** we should be angry about, not Rafa's reaction.

Well said Rafa. Them pricks at the F.A. have seen you as the soft touch out of the "big 4" managers for too long. Theyve pissed him off once too often now and he`s fighting back.

Comments like these are a regular occurence from chelsea, the mancs and to a lesser extent, arsenal. It has always worked for them and they have got their own way on the back of these rants for a long time while weve sat back being "dignified".

When youre battling against ****s you have to use ****s tactics. Well done Rafa.

We can't just stand there and do nothing when our rivals spit out blatant lies about us. If United lied about us in the hearing the we should sue them.

I would imagine that in the end Heinze will get his way if he takes it far enough. Without being in any way aware of the legal rights of workers in such cases it seems unlikely that Utd can prevent him joining the club of his wishes.

however how long will all this take, months if not longer and both Heinze and LFC can't really afford to wait. Also what will Utd do if Heinze calls their bluff and stays. His buyout fee is dropping by the day and the Yanks won't want him going for millions less than the £6.8m currently on offer.

Look at the Kewell case for example. That was exactly the same situation and that time they ruled that the letter overruled the existing contract whatever Leeds said that they had told Kewells agent.

Now in the same sort of case they rule the other way.

Whilst Rafa is clearly using the debacle of sunday & the Heinze verdict to stoke up a siege mentality its a shame that we have to play this game as its one of the things that we all hate most about Ferguson & Mourinho.

however the unpalatable truth is we will have play every bit as dirty as they do to maximise our title chances.

I feel sorry for Heinze in all this, he really is up **** creek without a paddle now. He may win his appeal but you'd have to think it unlikely. What then, a year in the ressies until he can buy out his contract or a move abroad which he clearly doesn't want.
