thanks to Liverpool airport, easyjet/ryanair cheap flights etc. lots of people fly from all around europe to Liverpool to specifically take in a game, among other things

thinking about the future and development of aircraft, the expansion of Liverpool airport and the competitive nature of the market it is not improbable that the flights will get cheaper, faster and more frequent making it more convenient for more people to make the trip

Midweek - freezing february night - at home to (say) Charlton. How many do you think we'd get?
        We'd get a maximum of 50k IMO.

Has anybody got the web address for the stadium design if it's still going

One element of a stadiums design which people seem to forget is the views from the seats.

Having seen the designs for the 60,000 seater stadium, it would look that all seats have a pretty decent view, non look to be too far away from the action.

Any bigger than this and there will be part of the stadium where the players will look like ants (similar to, I believe, Newcastles away fans area and for all of ManU's 3rd Tier on their enormous North Stand.) Allegedly, the atmosphere is dead up on that 3rd Tier (and not just because of the fans and the lack of oxygen!) because of their lack of involvement in the game.

I'd hate to go to the New Anfield and be right up in th Gods, not feeling the game, not really seeing the game and paying £40 for the privilege. No thanks!

Best all round to stick to the 60,000.

I trust Moores,Parry, the board, the architects, the experts on this one. They've done the research, no-one can accuse them of rushing the decision. If 60K is the way to go for them then that'll do for me. Of course I want a season ticket, but I'm not going to whinge I'll just bide my time and wait for one.
                    60K seems sensible to me.

I'm sure the club have based the figures on getting average attendances of around 52,000 and only filling the ground for about 4-5 games a season , I remember reading it all somewhere it might also have been includede in a piece by RushScored4 he seems pretty clued up on it all.

I hope there's going to be more legroom than there is at the moment. I've never been in the Main Stand but the other three stands are crap for legroom.

Stadium looks good - thanks for posting that, G_Man.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Not been to Anfield for a couple of years, but I always remember the Lower Annie Road end having no leg room whatsoever - it's always a bug-bear for me, being 6'5". Buses, stadiums, airline seats, trains all a big ballache.
