one thing i notice about the new design is that the Kop will be split into two sections. It will be divided by a walkway going horizontally through the middle of the kop and also through the away end, which cant be avoided. Still though, allround i quite like the design, just wonder what we are doing in the corporate section to match the gunners.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Don't think we can match a big london club for corporate seating/boxes, there just isn't the same demand in and around Liverpool as there is in London (obviously)
I have to deal with the corporate hospitality where I work, and we have corporate seating at ****ing old trafford, I have managed to wrangle my way out of going to that ****e-hole on more than one occasion! I'm hoping I'll manage to get there for when a real team comes into town!!

I remember reading way back when, at the start of all the new stadium talk, that it was going to be financed through securitisation, ie loans against future ticket revenue or whateverOriginally posted by ResuIs there any other way of financing it?
Short of having someone giving you the money, loans are probably the only way to go.

You might recall a group of people who set up a site called Anfield4ever - or something like that. They were totally against a move from Anfield and went to great lengths to explain that we basically don't have any fans and would never fill a bigger stadium (although we were getting 56,000 gates regularly when I was a kid).Originally posted by MattsharkI disagree, I think we could fill a far bigger stadium than that.
Their argument was that Man U are the natural draw to the majority of Lancs/Cheshire floating fans, Everton account for a fair few in the Merseyside/ south Lancs/Cheshire/N Wales area so basically we should think ourselves lucky to get 45,000.
Whilst Man City, Newcastle, Sunderland etc can attract more fans to their new stadia, we would never be able to do it because we already attract just about every Liverpool fan out there, so why don't we just stay where we are and avoid a half-empty stadium every other week?
The argument was as daft then as it is now. We are the only team apart from Man U with a nationwide fanbase (I believe studies have shown that only 40% of our fans live within what could be considered our natural catchment area) and we also have a considerable world-wide fanbase. If we could sell out a 56,000 seater stadium regularly once we will sell out a 60,000 seater regularly in the future.
