    Eccleston aiming for more goals

    England youth international Nathan Eccleston will be aiming for more goals as Liverpool Under-18s host Blackburn Rovers on Saturday morning at the Kirkby Academy (11am).
    Eccleston scored twice during last weekend's 3-2 win at Stoke and combined superbly in attack with 16-year-old German starlet Marvin Pourie.

    Reds Under-18 boss Hughie McAuley said: "I was pleased for Nathan because he has been working hard and making his contribution in games without getting his goals. But on Saturday he scored two good goals and that will boost his confidence no end."

    "We just try to improve every week as a team and as individuals."

    Going into the game McAuley's side are currently in sixth position in the table after five games played while Blackburn are bottom.

    Just believe and you never know what will happen.

    According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

        i hear month after month year after year about thsese young lads and the last one that actually made it through to the first team that was actually good was Owen pardon me if i say our youth players dont have a chance in hell of playing for the first team
