        Interesting thread.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                Owen is English?

                You'd never have guessed.

It's not like he ever wants to play for his national team.

A humble guy with healthy desire.

For £6m he'd make a great backup for Torres.

Problems are his Ingerland obsession, injuries and the fact that he clearly doesn't give a **** about us.

If we bought him in January we'd be doing him a massive favour, basically helping him escape the footballing version of purgatory that is Newcastle.

Heart says leave him to rot where he is, he deserves it.

Head says if he can come in and help our title challenge, then do it. But don't give him the number 10 shirt, give him number 38 or something as a kind of "go **** yourself" for his turncoat transgressions.

                  Over to you Rafa.

For £6m we couldn't get better - and like as not he'd end his career at LFC - he'd have to show some loyalty - as long as his weekly £ wasn't inflated. We've got enough up-front to rotate and keep him in a mended condition, surely?

£6m would be too good to turn down. Rotation would be beneficial to Owen and his fitness and it'd be great to have him back in the squad again as a striking possibility. At that price it'd be crazy to miss.

                        If true, of course...

Maybe we should sell Torres and bring back Rush...

That's the point though, he WOULD help our challenge, so we wouldnt be 'doing him a favour' or any other childish nonsense...we'd be signing a class goalscorer who is far better at goalscoring/finishing than anyone we have already, thus vastly improving our chances of success, for loose change.

Only a fool would conclude that signing Owen wouldnt be a good footballing decision.
