I'd go with Sean Dundee - no doubt

Being realistic and sensible, Pablo Aimar.

I agree with AFII's logic, just not the names mentioned.

Agree. Really can’t see what all the fuss has been about. I would probably go for both Keane or Defoe before him. Both would score more goals.

Also agree with Par_Zee - Drogba. Can’t stand him but he has without doubt proven himself in the most important place, the Premiership.

Torres and Drogba. Now that would be a frightening partnership.

Marvin Pourie - good strong, quick player, bit of attitude too.
          'and boy could he play!.

Id go with Huntelaar, Villa, Alfonso Alves, Mccarthy, Owen to name 5. All would improve our options and all are realistic targets. Of course Id fancy Kaka/messi et al but doubt that will happen.

OOOH, 1 player I really think would do a good job for us is Shevchenko. I really think that.

Trezeguet would be one to throw into the hat. A new challenge would do him the world of good and if he could find form again, he would compliment Torres perfectly.

whats with selecting other leading centre forward to be the ideal partner for Torres?. Torres is not a second striker, ideally IMO he should have a talented central attacking play maker in the Rooney or Teves mould as a partner upfront.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Actually he can play both roles equally well. And his best assets are not holding it up and heading, therefore a strong forward would compliment him well. Torres could look for flicks off him and drop deep as well as running in behind.

Crouch should be his partner at the min IMO. When Crouch came on for England yesterday he made a difference and all he did was the simple thing, find his man with flicks, which lead to chances. Something we have been missing this season.

I think he'd be amazing with Van Persie.

                            As for 'available' targets...

I'd go for Harry Kewell now he's fit again

And then next week when that comeback is over I'd go for Kuyt or Voronin
