Lil Luis back for us. We really miss him, he'd have been perfect for last night and just conjuring up something out of the blue. Would have him in a heartbeat over Voronin, Kuyt and Pennant.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I thought that myself last night. He was perfect at unlocking tight continental defences and some of the goals he scored for us in Europe were fantastic. I really miss Li'l Luis. In a manly, non-gay way of course...Originally posted by tomasjj View Post

Lets be honest Lil Luis was one of the MOST frustrating players ever, brilliant and crap in the space of seconds, we miss his goals not much else.
Banayoun i begrudgingly might add brings more attacking prowess to the team, he should have started yesterday, he looked very direct.
But in the grand scheme of things both are way too light weight. We come not to play.

not just Luis goals, his movement, passing, anticipation and that unpredicatability.Originally posted by Frodo View PostLets be honest Lil Luis was one of the MOST frustrating players ever, brilliant and crap in the space of seconds, we miss his goals not much else.

If Luis had been gifted that chance Voronin had in the first half (which was cleared just in front of goal) he would have snapped it up no problem. Or when the ball broke for Pennant in the second half, Pennant seemed miles behind the play. Luis would have been waiting for a break like that and would have made something of it.

Sorry, I disagree on both points. Garcia was far more than just a scorer of great goals. He offered an outlet to the attack and created many chances for the strikers and midfielders. I also don't think he or Benayoun are too lightweight even though the modern game increasingly demands big, powerful athletes. Class will always shine through regardless of the size of the player...Originally posted by Frodo View PostLets be honest Lil Luis was one of the MOST frustrating players ever, brilliant and crap in the space of seconds, we miss his goals not much else.
