    I'd agree with Parm's list.

Assuming Arbeloa takes over from Finnan as RB in the summer we need 2 new strikers, a left winger, a left back (assuming Insua cannot step up) and a centre back.

we do need another forward as good as Torres, but you still need at least 4 strikers.
Why would we need four strikers? Fowler was our fourth striker last season and he almost never played.

It's better to have three strikers in the first team and if we really need a fourth one then Rafa should give one of our young strikers a chance.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I don't think we need two new strikers as I don't see how you could keep three top strikers happy and sharp.

One new striker to play with Torres, keep Kuyt and Voronin as backup and sign a top class playmaker, which is what we have really been missing for a long time.

Well we could sell one of them and use babel as a striker, but then we'd need a new winger aswell.

I'd keep Crouch as a squad player and as a different option.

The other two can **** off.

Fed up with second rate forwards being deemed good enough because they work hard.

Lets have some real ****in quality to play with Torres.

Trouble is with Crouch is that he doesn't offer something different when he comes on.

He'd be great to throw on with 20 minutes to go (are you listening Rafa!) and just bang some long balls to him for knock downs etc. The only problem is that Crouch's goalscoring record when he comes on is very poor. If he improved that part of his game he would be worth a place in the squad.

Kuyt and Voronin can go now for me. We need goals from our strikers and leave the midfield to do the hard work.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Agree that it would be good to keep Crouch as a squad striker, but I`m pretty sure we have to cut our losses with him now. There have been several instances this season where we have been desperate for a goal, and Rafa has brought on ANYONE but Crouch.

Stating the obvious I know, but the lad is 100% gone, either in Jan or the summer.

Totally agree with you though - FFS get someone with pace and class to play up there with Torres (easier said than done, admittedly)
