To be fair to Rafa, I think it is clear to see he never wanted Nunez and he was just a stop gap as part of the Owen deal. Morientes looked a good signing, he had all the attributes. Unfortunately it didn't work out. Josemi looked good in his first few games and like you said, he realized he wasn't good enough and shipped him out quickly in place of Jan who it looks like we'll make some money on anyway.

Agreed, the great thing about Rafa is that you can see he's learning too - his decision making is fantastic, and yet when he does make the odd mistake, he digests it and makes sure it doesn't happen again. He hasn't bought a crap player, he has bought players that aren't suitable for the league, but they have quickly been dispatched.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Liverpool have released their squad numbers for the new season and have revealed that Robbie Fowler will wear the famous number nine shirt during the campaign.
Fowler takes over the shirt from Djibril Cisse following the Frenchman's move to Marseille.
New signing Mark Gonzalez will wear eleven, Fabio Aurelio has been given number 12, Craig Bellamy will wear 17 and Gabriel Paletta has chosen the number 29 shirt.
