Not sure about Torres, but I thought by the way Sky were talking, that he could be forced to miss a few more games. I didn't hear properly what they were saying mind.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Bobbins - we went to pieces because it was late in the game, the inevitable full on arsenal attack began and we had Arbeloa in central midfield instead of a natural midfielder. Alonso was poor all game.Originally posted by AFII View PostHe is our midfield brain. We had no one to dictate our midfield after he went off.

Aaaaargh
Actually if you look at our injuries this season - still being undefeated in the League with an average of two points a game, doesn't seem too bad

Didn't understand why he didn't just put Arbeloa at LB, push riise up to LW and have stevie and mash in the middleOriginally posted by carheex View PostBobbins - we went to pieces because it was late in the game, the inevitable full on arsenal attack began and we had Arbeloa in central midfield instead of a natural midfielder. you are right though.
Look at the mancs, they stuttered early on this season, now they have their players back, Rooney & Ronaldo(suspension) and even HArgreaves, they are playing their best stuff. Injuries obviously will play their part. Hopefully we can get a bit more luck for the rest of the season.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:

****, I thought he was the key for us, once he went off we couldnt keep possession for long. But I agree, the formation looked good, Torres should be the focal point, have Babel and another with pace up there and we are on.Originally posted by superdan View PostLucas will get his chance now I think. Today's formation needs a little tinkering but it looks quite good if we can wingers with pace to play
