    Go The Arsenal Way....play Youngsters

WE HAVE SPENT 40MILLION POUNDS THIS SUMMER AND I THINK IT WAS MONEY WELL SPENT (TORRES IS WORLD CLASS AND BABEL WILL BE AMAZING IN A YEAR OR TWO) BUT I ALSO THINK WE SHOULD TAKE A LEAF FROM ARSENALS BOOK AND BLOOD A FEW MORE YOUNGSTERS. WE HAVE SPENT A GOOD FEW MILLIONS ON YOUNGTERS SINCE RAFA TOOK OVER AND ALTHOUGH MOST ARE ON LOAN AT OTHER CLUBS I WOULD SERIOULSY CONSIDER BRINGING THEM BACK AND PLAYING THEM IN THE RESERVES TOGETHER FOR A YEAR SO THEY GET USED TO EACH OTHERS STYLES OF PLAY THEN MAYBE NEXT YEAR BLOOD THEM INTO THE FIRST TEAM AS A COMPLETE UNIT....LUCAS LEIVA, SEB LETO, JACK HOBBS, CRAIG LINDFIELD, EL ZHAR, PAUL ANDERSON, FRANCISCO DURAN ETC... THESE LADS WERE BROUGHT HERE BY BENITEZ BECAUSE THEY ALL HAVE TALENT AND TO MIX THEM NOW WITH THE EXPERINCE OF GERARD, CARRA, TORRES, KEWELL WOULD BENEFIT US IN THE LONG RUN!!
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I think our style is not particularly youngster friendly. Not like Arsenals style is,
It is great saying all this, and I would like to see us bring through young players like Wenger does, but I can't personally even see it happening while Rafa is in charge, I am not saying I want a new manager, I am just saying that our style is not ideal for blooding physically weak youngsters especially when your style is based around the team being physical. Wengers tactics on the other hand are based more around slick passing, movement, pace and confidence.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

A lot of the reserves aren't good enough to make the grade. Yes, Leto looks the biz in the reserves but I doubt his ability to step up to the challenge. Anderson is doing well at Swansea getting I think 7 goals this season- he should be blooded next season. That Bruna is expected to make reserve level this season and make cup games next season. A few seasons and we will see Pacheco in the side. San Jose, Insua can maybe step up to the plate next season- its up to RAFA

Everybody's raving about Arsenal, but I want to put a a more negative spin on their season; It's 3 months into the season and they still haven't won outside of london in the premier league... Surely this must be alarming for them?
(I don't think 80% of their remaining games will be in london)

If only we could start winning at anfield we'd be sorted..

It would be nice if we could play some good football too.

We can only go the Arsenal way if our youth players cost umpteen million and get a few years of playing together before making the first team but that will only come with Rafa sticking around.
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

arsenal have finished 4th the last two seasons and the one before last really should have been fifth, but spurs players had the ****s on the last day of the season.

Man utd didnt win a trophy for two years either.

Shows what a combination continuity and a top class manager does.

Obviously need a bit of dough too though.
