Why do we get more stick than the rest?

    I don't get it like.
Sure Liverpool are a big club with big expectations but we've made a decent start to the season. We've had a few dodgy performances and results lately but the way the papers/pundits on sky sports etc are going on you would think we are in the relegation zone, have no hope of making the knockout stages of the champions league and generally our season is over.
    It's madness.

We're pretty tough on ourselves too.

Well, we are a loss or two from being out of the title race because of to many drawn games.

A drawn game isn't worth that much.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yes - but equally if Utd & Arsenal draw at the weekend and we beat BBurn we're still unbeaten and 3 pts off the top without our 1st choice 11. That is a distinct possibility.

          It's worth a point
A point could make all the difference at the finish up although in saying that
i don't think we'll win the title, i think the scum will again

The bigger the team, the bigger the expectaions.

There were plenty tipping us before the start especially after the signing of Torres and its now looking like another false dawn.

Plus, it sells newspapers and makes good reading especially to those who don't support Liverpool.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

It's the modern media saturation effect.

I just wonder if the meaning of the word "crisis" had changed since Sky TV became widely avalible?

                Yeah suppose so.
Wouldn't it be great if Rafa + the team turn things around and we end of having a great season?
Certainly make them eat there words if we do.
As they say over here...would 'tighten them'

We are in agreement on this one. Being unbeaten means sod all if the team above you are blackburn and they've lost a game.

Let’s be honest here, that kind of considered and realistic opinion isn't relevant to many anymore.

Nowadays most people are thick and will believe what any Joe **** says, primarily because being on TV, radio, the net or a newspaper column somehow gives them and their opinions more gravitas.

Take Andy Gray for example. I'd imagine most people who aren't Liverpool fans - actually the ones I've meet - might think he knows better than Rafa Benitez, simply because he's paid to have an opinion and he sounds so informed with that stupid gadget he uses on the last word. But what has he won as a manager? When has he ever been one?

Or perhaps people just aren't interested in forming their own opinions anymore, and I'm over thinking this?

The scum hate us for our dominance in the 70's and 80's and they just cant stand our 5 X

The bitters and the FA hate us for Hysel

The S*n hate us for the boycott

Andy Gray hates us cos he is a bitter bluenose at heart

Chelski hate us cos we have a history

                        next question?
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Because out of the top 4 we are the only ones not to win the Premiership.
