I did touch on that in my post, that the older the player gets, the better understanidng of fitness/diet etc they should get. If Sharpe and Fowler came through in todays teams, I'm sure they would become better, fitter and stronger players.

Has he confirmed the involvement of Leprachauns in his fall from grace?

I would love to keep Momo and let him develop as a player, keep him at the club but maybe in the ressies or CC games or suchlike

Obviously this is not gonna happen, and he's both too good, and too expensive to have as part of our team and not play. And on present form, and given the competition for places, he really really should not play
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Just look at the face: it's vacant, with a hint of sadness. Like a drunk who's lost a bet.

People here are harsh on him but he has been poor. I still really like him, but the thing is I don't know if he can play very well, next to Mascherano, Gerrard or Lucas. We know he can play well with Alonso. This limits his game a lot. If he can pick up his form again I have no problem with him staying. But the fact that he relies so heavily on Alonso isn't a great thing. Although, maybe he could be good next to Lucas. I don't know.

As I said, like him a lot, not too fussed what becomes of his future.

He is a goerge boateng, reo-coker sort of player......good but to many limitations to make it at a top club

If he can replicate the type of performance that he put in against Sunderland earlier in the season on a consistent basis - he would be a star turn.

People have been the same things about Momo for two years now.

He'd be great if he could improve his passing, got more of a run in the team, etc.

Sure he's only 22 but in my opinion he has failed to progress to the required level in the past two years.

It'll be a shame to let him go as he had great potential but I can't see him fulfilling it here.

You can compare him to Reals Diarra. The same playing style. Real has Guti picking up the ball after Diarra won it. Guti stays close to Diarra so he don't need to do to complicated things with the ball.

Just like Alonso and Sissoko for us.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

for me the problem isn't his midfield partner it's learning to pass the ball to a red shirt, if he could this well then people wouldn't get on his back all the time, he's got a great engine could run all day for us, great in the tackle, and can't pass a ball for ****, whether he plays with Alonso or anyone else, it shouldn't alter his ability to do this

Momo CAN pass, watch the Sunderland game, it's not his technique he needs to work on it's his consistency. Consistency is easier to address than issues of basic technique.

I'd hate for Momo to go. Give him at least a couple more years, what's the big deal if we do?
