Momo Sissoko returns to the Liverpool starting eleven for today's Barclays Premier League match with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Sissoko has recovered from illness and will replace Xabi Alonso in the centre of the midfield after he suffered a recurrence of his foot injury against Arsenal last week.

Dirk Kuyt will lead the Liverpool attack, with either Ryan Babel or Steven Gerrard supporting.

Liverpool - Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Riise, Mascherano, Sissoko, Gerrard, Babel, Benayoun, Kuyt. Subs - Martin, Crouch, Kewell, Arbeloa, Lucas.

I hope you're right but Kuyt as the only recognised striker has never worked before. Man Utd away, Man City away and Milan last season were the 3 times we tried it and, well, it took us until the 87minute of the third of those games to score and that was only with Crouch on the pitch.

Happy enough with that team, glad Yossi is starting, bit disappointed Crouch isn't though.

Surely Crouch is more suited to this role than Kuyt?

I like the formation, but Lucas and Crouch would have made me feel much better than Sissoko and Kuyt. Other than that, and the fact that Riise is still a Liverpool player, line up is fine.

Go ahead and put money on Riise to score now.
