Kuyt just isnt a striker.

Decent option for right mid but never up front.

He would make a good bench warmer, someone to bring on to chase the ball and try work to hold on to a result

Yossi isn't a wide player though. Today our play was so narrow at times because Yossi abandonded the right-wing. Now perhaps Rafa gives him the okay to do this, but if he does then it's a huge mistake because it congests the midfield already and even more so when you have Gerrard in there + two other central midfielders.

To be fair to him, hes just lost his dad, so he aint gonna be in a mental state, but that is why Rafa should bench him/put him in the ressies cos this extended run with no results is doing neither him nor the team any good whatsoever. At least when Crouch didnt score for ages he was setting others up, but Kuyt os often getting in their way FFS.

To be fair to Rafa he does not waste time in getting rid of a player who has not done it, so I expect Kuyt to be somewhere else next season.

I actually think Benayoun looks a decent signing now, i wasnt happy when we bought him, but he's an intelligent FOOTBALLER. Not an impact player, but a good footballer.

Babel is an impact player and deserves time.

Rafa should have brought Sissoko off instead of Benayoun, then Gerrard could have played in centre mid alongside Masherano.
We had Blackburn on the bak foot hence there was no need to keep tow defensive midfielders on the pitch.

But the gameplan was to congest the midfield to stop them from playing. Defensively it worked, we stopped blackburn from scoring.

Sadly we have no class strikers

I was just thinking how he'd do at my local pub team. I came to the conclusion that he wouldn't do much better than the current frontmen.
