    He just isn't top quality.

Bolton/Newcastle/Villa and Kuyt = The perfect match.

He is a good mid table striker.

He played for Feyernoord and Utrecht. They aren't the brilliant teams in bloody Holland now.

as stated im not his biggest fan and i dont want to turn this post into a rant against kuyt but the problems highlighted last year have become more apparent this time round.

His first touch is terrible, he lacks at least one yard of pace, he cant hold up the ball, he misses too many chances.

Apart from that the boy is class

Why did rafa not start with the only player at liverpool who can hold up the ball in the opposition half ?

I've put 4th choice but wish I'd have voted to sell.

When he made his debut vs WHU he did look really lively and a threat. Since then though I've never ever been convinced about him whatsoever. I mean, if you were a defender for the opposing team, you just know you'd have an easy day as Kuyt's ball control is poor, he's not fast, doesn't make many assists and offers zero goal threat.

I just can't see what he offers to the team apart from his 'work rate' :whatever:

Crouch went 20 odd games without a goal but at least he was playing well. And since he scored his first goal for us he's probably got an average of a goal every two games. When Crouch plays at least the team liven up, he shows deft touches and IS a goal threat. People also point at Crouch missing easy chances last year but at least he was getting into positions to get chances. Kuyt hasn't a clue what the penalty area is. Why the **** won't Rafa play Crouch?!

Voronin - to be honest I haven't seen enough of him. He's looked decent at times, and other times he's looked a donkey. But I'd take him over Kuyt. United, Chelsea and Arsenal, Real, Barca etc etc - would they take Kuyt? Would they ****. So why should we??

People took the piss out of Fowler being old and knackered last season but - **** - give me Fowler back anyday, stick him in the opponents box and keep him the **** in there. At least he'll score.

Rafa's proved by signing Torres that generally you do have to spend £££s to get quality players (unless you're a genius like Wenger). Kuyt, Sissoko, Pennant, Babel - we could've bought another serious, serious striker with that money, rather than 'improving the squad'.

          Argh.

It was the same with Morientes. The worse he played, more chances he got by Rafa. Morientes is gone but we have Kuyt now

It's baffling mate. Rafa absolutely baffles me. He always has, but at least he got results to back up his choices. We knew Morientes had class though - he's had a great career in Spain and with Monaco, just a shame he couldn't do it here.

Kuyt scored a lot of goals but for an average team in a **** league

Kuyt is a hardworking player but fullstop.

Imagine rooney, drogba, adebayor, van persie, tevez having half the chances he had today ....

rafa with kuyt in the starting 11 we are not gonna win the laegue.

I've always thought he was ****. My only mistake was calling him the dutch heskey. I'm really sorry Emile for comparing you with such a donkey!

                      Morientes was better than Kuyt.

I would like some skill & pace to go with Torres and/or Crouchy, a fit Owen would fit that bill nicely.

Hardworking strikers do not score goals, and we do not need 2 of them. I like Kuyt, but would quite happily sell Kuyt &/or Veronin for Owen.

Why am I mentioning Owen, because the toon army are starting to get unsettled with him, and they called him disinterested today, so - maybe something could happen?
