Either way I'd prefer it if Rafa rotated Momo with Mascherano and Xabi with Gerrard. I think Xabi has it in him to be an attacking box to box midfielder.
We need to forget about the 6 at the back formation, it's a negative setup

I agree but I doubt that Rafa will do that. Gerrard will play most of the games. Playing both Mascherano and Xabi means that they can change position a lot during the games, sometimes Xabi attacks and sometimes Mascherano.

        It will confuse our opponent.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It's a good formation, everyone should be able to see that, including Rafa, he is a smart man you know

                            That midfield is ****!

Why is it ****? Becaucse you have picked 2 defensive midfielders in Xabi and Javier.
It is the most boring defensive pile of ****e ever and that is wjhy we have been playing such turgid dull football.

Tonight Rafa played 1 defensive midfielder- Javier, and look at the difference.

Why is he so frickin paranoid that we're going to concede loads of goals if he plays 1 defensive midfielder.
**** that ****, 1 defensive midfielder end of, FACT, Q.E.D
i'm loving this not agreeing with the both of you. we've been poor when we've played masch and gerrard to gether and we've been good. gerrard and alonso have also been abit hit and miss. we've played great games with two holding midfielders and gerrard on the right or a more attacking role. gerrard has been **** for a season and a half give or take a game. and it doesn't really matter where he has played, he's been **** at midfield after every one screamed to get him there. it's only in the last few games that he has excelled, and in those games he has played right, center, and infront of the midfield. this fact you state "1 defensive midfielder end of" is there fore horse ****

and you claiming we didn't play with any defensive midfield, shame on you. mascerano was very defensive, and it was very obvious that tactically he was meant to be that. just because he was defensive high up the pitch, do to the fact that we pressed them there, and that he won alot of balls high up there, do to us pressing, and distributed the balls well, do to the fact that he won the tackles, doesn't mean that he wasn't defensive. he was very defensive in my opinion, but do to his marvelous passing abilities he also was very important for us attacking wise.

and on another note i would like to congratulate gerrard for his tactical awareness today, even though it was against a **** team, he showed me that he can play like he is told to, he held his position very well and contributed both in attack and defence and controlled the midfield alongst The Chief he didn't stroll of in any of his one man mission operations, he simply spread the ball nicely. and thats what i love seeing him do,working with the team. linking up with other players better, that link up with voronin was superb, if he would let his team help him out more, he will become even more important to us than he is today...

We have first refusal on Masher .....

                              Kia: Liverpool have Mascherano option
                              tribalfootball.com - November 06, 2007

Liverpool have been assured they have first refusal on midfielder Javier Mascherano.
Kia Joorabchian, the head of the company that owns Mascherano's "economic rights", says Liverpool secured first refusal on the Argentina midfield player when they signed him on an 18-month loan.

"Liverpool do have first option," he said.

I didn't say that he didn't play defensive just that he played one step higher up the pitch than usual, just as you points out. You can play defensive even if you play as a CM you know.
