Would be a crying shame if he went.

I guess we have the money.
    We have the first option.

So it is basically down to Masch and his sneaky "owner."

Wonder what that Kia dude wants...

He probably don't want him to sign for us.

He would get £17m if he signs for us and probably £25m+ if he signs for another top club.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He can't sign anything for us unless he is offered something to sign.

We have Parry, he will take care of it, one day before the deadline or so

Easy tiger... are you saying we don't have intentions of offering him something, or just that it hasn't happened yet?

he would walk into the midfield of any team in the premiership and hold a regular place in any team in the champions league. 17 million is nothing for him. sell momo for 7 to 10 and buy a world class midfielder for an outlay of no more than 10 million.

I'm sure i read somewhere how grateful he is for rafa saving him, i have no doubt he'd sign a contract if ne is put in front of him. But we're in no rush we have him till the summer although reassuring the lad he has a future with us would ease all our worries

17m for someone with 10 years ahead of him, who is already the best HM in world at 23 and can adapt his game to play with different kinds of CM.

Would be absolutely insanity not to take him. Everyone knows that as far as Rafa is concerned CMs are the most important players in the setup.

He wants to stay, we want him to stay and if it means, we have to keep kuyt/pennant/whoever for an extra year, due to funding, it will be well worth it.

I'd be astonished if we didn't sign him if Mascherano wants to stay with the club. Let's just hope Joorabchian wants to play ball.

Joorabchian said this week that we had first option, so his hands are tied if we want to do the deal, which I am sure we do.

We need to sort it out now. He is not going to wait until deadline day. Parry should have sorted it out this week - the player wants to sign, Rafa wants him to sign and Joorabchian is happy to let us have him for the right price. We have the money too.

If the club don't get their finger out asap, we will have Stevie G mark II, except without any change of heart. Mascherano will walk, Joorabchian will get more cash from another club, Rafa will be seething and we will have lost out on a world class player who is worth much more than we would need to pay to get him.

Timing is a non-issue we have first option.
