We made a good profit in the summer on players

Plus the new Sky money. I'm sure we didnt need to spend that much from G&H.

and again it looks like we are making money by selling with news of Carson for £10m.

According to Joorabchian on the Times 'The Game' podcast which he was on this week. We've secured first option, and a set fee for Mascher, but we haven't secured personal terms. So if we choose to activate the first option, then we'll have to agree a new contract with him, just as we would with any other player.

Yes, price with him agreed. If we choose to use it we then have to agree personal terms with the player.

Getting Masher should be top priority before signing anyone else imo - even above bringing in cover for Carra/Agger

This is a bit confusing. Have we agreed to pay and have just to negotiate personal terms or is this the first option you are talking about?

I will put this down to negotiating our position and wait and see. We have pole position AFAIKnow and only ridiculous wage demands can stop the deal. Would not surprise me if that is what happens TBH.
