I would understand if they had give the club good service and they needed the money, but for me making these millionaires even richer is just daft.

us fans dont have to make them even richer by attending testimonials,us fans can choose not to attend such games if we want.

but on the other hand some of us fans would like the opprtunity to attend a match which was organised for the purposes of thanking which ever player it happens to be for the services they gave to the cub.
us fans(me)couldnt give a toss wheather were helping expand their already bulging bank accounts.

like has been said above marcus,they dont do testimonials anymore,in fact i cant remember the last liverpool player who got one.
