As for Keegan I’m sure I read somewhere he said he wouldn’t be getting back to football with any club as he was enjoying these soccer schools he’s running.
I believe I read something along those lines, think it was last weekend, said he was doing just fine with his business, also said he didn't have a huge interest in football anymore

Could he be on his way back?

      Anyone know anything?
i know that he said last week that he hasn't been to a live game since he left City and he's finished with big time football.

****ing love him as a number 2. I was gonna ask if he'd step down though, but then though, ****ing right he would, he loves LFC. He's know his place too and wouldn't try to takeover.

I think Jewell or Gary Mac would make excellent #2s, but I can't really see Jewell as being willing to take that step "back" from being the boss man as he was at Wigan for so long.

Gary Mac strikes me as being fairly restrained, a guy who thinks things through and that would sit more with our approach to games under Rafa as his assistants always seem to be there on the bench chatting to him about things and pointing stuff out. I don't recall Pako bouncing up and down the touchline shouting instructions but you have to feel Jewell is the type that find it hard not to.

Either of the above. Another good possibility is Chris Hughton. Great experience and a man who served under numerous bosses. And available
"With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

              Not for me thanks.
I would like someone who could possibly be able to step up and be manger when Rafa leaves, Hughton doesnt have that potential, of all the managers he was worked under, none of them have been particularly successfull. Id also prefer someone who knows what it takes to play for LFC and what it means.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

              * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

but for jewell, it maybe a case of one step back, 2 steps forward. He would be in a perfect position to step up, if and when rafa leaves for madrid

                            must of missed that.

                            couldn't think of a better no2.

Could see Jewell being a number 2 for us whereas i could never see someone like Kenny being the no2

As he's still young could he be the 2nd in command? Might be OK from day one but after a while would he miss the top spot.
Or could, as been said, being no2 ready if Rafa goes.

                            Good call

Still would love Keegan to be our spokesman when we won no19.

" i just loved it when we beat you and your team went down in my estimation"

I'd also like Uncle Roy back at the club, think he'd make a great no2 unless that 2 manager bollox hasn't soured him.

                            Gary Mac another great shout.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF
