Liverpool v Fulham, post match stuff

I got in from the match hours ago but I havern't been able to get online until now. The boys were superb today. Kept going and had alot of drive from start to finish. Fulham were really holding on at the end. Torres is by far and away the best striker we've had at this club since Owen. His movement, composure and control changed the game for us.

I'm still buzzing!

Any doubts some people had about the teams character were surely answered this week?

In times gone by we would have ended the match 0-0 but Rafa made the right changes and the boys responded.

Torres was simply superb. I was talking to a couple of Fulham fans who were on the train back to Chester and they were very complimentary about him. They said that our performance today was the best they've seen against them this season. They felt, like I did, that Niemi kept them in the match.

i've felt that alot of the teams we have drew against these past few weeks have been kept in the game thanks to their keepers. all we were missing was that little bit of luck .....and torres!!

All of them today (finnan aside) have changed games when they've been used as subs. Lucas, Torres and Babel have all won us games from the bench

Match winners making an impact from the bench have been in short supply at Anfield in recent years. Could make all the difference between mounting a serious title bid, or not.

For Benni to be good, he needs Arbeloa to overlap, that didn't happen enough today, hence Yossi didn't have as much of an impact on the game as we would have hoped.

We played some good football today especially in the second half. It was only a matter of time before we scored....it was wave after wave of attacks. First premiership game I've enjoyed for weeks.

Their goalie kept them in the game 2nd half. I thought we played well against a very well organised defensive outfit.

The introduction of Torres gave us a different avenue to attack from that we had not got previous, I am not convinced we would have won that game had he not come on, We had battered them for 70 odd minutes to no avail.
I guess you can it was a mixture of Torres class and the option to be more direct which he gave us.
