When I heard we were signing him I was very surprised, especially as it was fairly obvious we were going to be heavily invested in by some foreign entity. Like many, I assumed we'd be throwing a bit of cash around and not signing up slightly obscure free transfers.
Anyway, I wasn't too alarmed as it seemed he was going to be an emergency striker. As the pre season got underway, the crow looked pretty decent albeit against piss poor opposition, and again i was surprised that he was playing so much as the season proper got underway. To date he's had his moments, he's also looked pretty poor at times but last tuesday and today he's looked sharp and has actually played really well.
I'd just like to stick up for him basically and say that for a free signing he's probably exceeded all of our expectations - Personally I thought he'd turn out to be a Sean Dundee but I've been pleasantly surprised. Let's hope he doesn't learn any english or he'll be asking why he's been left out in favour of kuyt by this time next week.

I dont know if Rafa would have signed him anyway.

Check the .sigs man, a lot of us thought the crow would work out well, that's why we formed the crow fan club, to educate the luddites like you

Seriously though, Berbatov was always banging on about how Voro made him twice as good as he really was.

Voro is a bit like Xabi, in that, he makes others better. Some people have difficulty spotting that but it is his primary strength.

He's only been here 4 months, so once he has a better idea of the runs everyone else makes, he'll be better still. He's actually a very smart player as you could see with how he linked up with SG in the besiktas game.

Agree, he's a TEAM player.

He's alot faster than i thought.

A little bit inconsistent during games but overall i've been quite impressed with him i like the way he's always involved in the play, also wanting the ball even if he isn't having a great game.

I'd have him as third choice striker atm.

I LOVE the crow. He'll be around longer than Kuyt, I'm sure. He has Game Intelliegence, which I'm not sure many others have.
