    One word Ego's.

They don't get on plain and simple.

Parry doesn't like Rafa however I fear that Parry doesn't actually understand that if he can't work with Rafa then he should quit because Rafa is 100 times more important than a man who seemingly ****s things up all the time.

In fact IMO I think Parry is the main man behind this.
what makes you think he's behind all this?

Something I read on another site today.

Rashid is many things but a bull ****ter I don't think is one of them. I don't think he would lie about a club he clearly feels passionately about even if that passion IMO is sometimes mis guided.

Anyway he contacted Bascombe and Chris apparently has told him that Parry wanted Rafa out after Athens and he got the yanks on side however Parry thought it would be better to sit tight and let Rafa hang himself. It makes perfect sense to me starve Rafa of communication frustrate him knowing what he is like and wait for him to blow. They now have their excuse to sack him.

This seemed possible as Rafa had pretty much said Parry was a muppet and was slow in transfers! He may have taken that insult personally and in any corporate world, politics will surface....

              cheers
question remains why he wanted him out after athens.
because he openly critised him when he accused the club of being too slow when it comes to transfers? that's the only reason i can come up with.

but that's that because we as fans are passionate about the club we'd put it above all whereas we do have to accept that those who work forces at this club see it as job and thus put themselves above it all.

I think that Parry doesn't like Rafa calling him for what he is. Parry clearly thinks life would be better without Rafa. Maybe it would be better for Rick Parry but it would be for Liverpool football club.

I don't think Parry's got any power apart from the facts below. He'll side with the americans because:

                    1. He helped and was the major investigator in broking out a deal in the first place.
                    2. He wants to keep his job.

Parry was also responsible for not contacting DIC when G&H made their bid. We had promised to keep DIC informed about any rival bid but we only did that when the G&H deal was more or less done and dusted.

Nice way to do business by Parry, or maybe not.

I can understand the reaction from DIC.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So can I however I also think that if Rafa had come out and said anything like he has done if DIC were in charge then he would already be sacked by now.

ok now you're falling for the dubai propaganda.
they're all fighting their corners and we - from the outside looking in - can take none of it seriously. that's business tittle-tattle. not much different from the playgrounds but with suits and ties.

I have never liked Parry since his days as the Chairman of the PL. Too smug for my liking and despite really wanting to like him I just find him insincere. Would not surprise me if he is playing a major role behind the scenes in isolating Rafa and trying to force him out.

His silence speaks a thousand words IMO.

I was never a sack Parry person but I tell you what I'm convinced he's behind this due to his silence.

                              I don't trust him anymore.

                                No, I don't.

Why would they turn down us for a difference of something like £50m-£75m? It wasn't that big difference between the bids.

DIC offered £220m if I remember things right and G&H bought the club for £280m.

That's very, very little money for DIC when you think off the profit they would have made in the future.

If you don't keep honest with them then they will **** off and withdraw or don't better any bid. If it would have come out that you can **** them around then it would cost them a lot more in the future than the profit they would do when they would have sold us a few years later.

Their business reputation is worth very much when you consider how much big business they are involved in.
