hopefully all this **** is coming from the hicks side, and he'll **** off before the end of the season
****in hell, the previous board got little right in their time here, and true to form the last decision that they had to make, they ****ed up as well, by the looks of things. Moores might have had the clubs best interests at heart, but he's obviously a **** judge of character.Thomas Hicks Senior

Let be realistic about this. If he came here and won us the league or the European cup he'd be considered an instant legend, by everyone.Originally posted by sonsofthedesert View PostOn this point DJS is talking sense. I don't want Maureen near the club but I know that people would love him if he won the league. LFC will continue after Rafa (I really hope this doesn't happen) and all the people saying they would walk away will get angry for a while and then within a month or 2 be offering their usual level of support.
I am shocked by the people saying they couldn't support the club etc as they are forgetting it is LFC they support not Rafa fc or G&H fc. Get behind the club.
Speaking hypothetically of course.I hate Polanski

I agree 100%. If we allow these two to sack Rafa over a little spat like this then it just goes to prove that this club is no longer the club it was.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostIt will be the death of Liverpool Football Club as we know it if Benitez is sacked and replaced by Mourinho.
We will have become just another classless club, desperate for success. Success at all costs, seemingly. I love the club and it's a huge part of my life but if this were to materialise....well, I'm not sure. Not sure I could carry on in the same way.
**** Mourinho, **** Hicks and **** football.

or me, i'd tollerate him, but I doubt many fans would ever truly take to him, we know his character from his time at the chavs, the mans a complete bell end, and there's be something a little hollow about the whole thing if we won the league under him.Originally posted by mick the click View Postnot by me he wouldn't
The of course what happens if Rafa wins us the league this season, which lets not forget is still a distinct possibility, what are they going to do sack him after that? Then there really would be an uproarThomas Hicks Senior

Hicks, who I have defended in the past, is an asshole. He is very much used to the American sports media system, where managers (especially in baseball) NEVER criticize the owners. This reminds me of the reactionary "money is always right" thinking that plagues this country. There is no humility among the wealthy, always right because they have money. It's really nauseating."Our legacy begets an excellence that surpasses the particulars of who produces it." -- David Carr

I don't know if this has been said to death on here but |I am so sad reading this thread. How can anyone on this site be in any way excited at the prospect of one of the most loathsome characters in football taking over our side. I mean, after everything we've been through with Rafa and that ******. It seems like there's only a handful of people on here with same attitude and opinion of ShaggyAlonso (who I applaud 100% here) on this. Getting rid of Rafa in this most public way is sickening and contemplating future managers already is in the poorest of tastes. And then getting excited about Jose is almost a sick joke. Is this the Liverpool Way any of you? Has everyone really forgotten what it means to be Liverpool? It seems so.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI’ve said this before on here but I’ll say it again.
To all those who would welcome Mourinho…
Imagine we play a Rafa Benitez side in the semi-final of the European Cup next season. Mourinho is making a cunt of himself in the press again…antagonising everyone, making us look classless and small-time, mocking Rafa and his record, while Rafa fires back (from, say, Madrid) with his usual class, wit and sarcasm. How sickening would that be? How sickening to be on Mourinho’s side, to have him as “our leader”.
Yes, at the end of the day it’d be LFC v Real Madrid and that would be all that mattered, but I would be physically sick to have ‘Jose’ in the trenches with us, while Rafa led the opposition. I don’t find such hypocrisy and such fickle behaviour easy or very becoming.
A sad time for this club indeed and after enduring a disillusionment with football players, media and attitudes over the last 10 years, and Liverpool still being the one passion that carries me above everything else, I admit, like others here, that this passion will be crushed if all of these rumours of late come to pass.
Shame on many people here. Heartfelt appreciation to others

Anything that happens in the Premiership just further shows what a soulless money-corrupted cesspit top-level football has become. I have deeply loved Liverpool all my life and won't stop loving my club [yessssssssssss!!!! Torres just scored!] but have been somewhat disillusioned for a few years now, growing more and more interested in lower league football, and the arrival of that ****ing piece of **** whore Mourinho would see my attention move 100% elsewhere. My new signature sums it up for me.

When the game kicked off tonight I felt sad, mainly through fear of what is to come.
I think Rafa's a ****ing God. This is all wrong
