Liverpool v Bolton- Build Up Thread

Sunday 3pm, sadly not on sky or setanta but probably on some dodgy chinese stream

Obv we will have extra days rest with Bolton playing in the UEFA Cup today.

Guthrie can't play, Nolan and Hunt suspended.

3 games in 8 days for Torres?? Hope so, considering we don't play reading untill the following Sat, that will give him plenty of time to rest up.

Megson has gone back to Bolton old style of play Fingers crossed they don't injure any of our players!

Also a good time to start negotiations to bring back Anelka

3 points is a must and hopefullt we can have a repeat of last years performance!

As for the starting xi, i would go for:

    ------------Reina------------
    Arbeloa-Carragher-Hyypia-Aurelio
    Benayoun-Gerrard-Mascherano-Kewell
    --------Torres-Crouch--------

    Roll on Sunday

I like your team, though if it's gonna be a war in midfield I'd expect to see Momo back....

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think Finnan and Arbeloa are playing well and should stay in position same as last night. I think bring in another good tackler and passer in Lucas, and let Stevie roam from the right. I think Benayoun was a little out of sorts last night also, so maybe keep him in reserve in case Harry takes a knock

        'and boy could he play!.

Crouch and Kuyt will start. As will Kewell.

Bolton won't be a pushover. We will have to watch that Diouf fella and Anelka will cause us problems in defense.

How long will it be before Agger is fit?

I think Sissoko will start, perhaps with a similar midfield to the Newcastle match.

Think he's back very soon. Wasn't he training?

My guess is that Rafa won't start with Torres. Torres is picking up some real form as a result of a consistent run in the side and long may that continue. If I was a betting man I reckon Rafa will start with Kuyt and Crouch.

I will despair if this is the case.

Come on Rafa…do the right thing and give Torres an extended run!

In fairness, unless I’m mistaken, the only times (domestically) Torres has been rested were the Portsmouth & Birmingham games. Just twice. The way Gray and others were going on last night you’d think he never plays.

Rotate everyone else, if you must, but give Torres his head!
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I thinking resting Torres for Bolton, or at least not having him start, is a good idea, as they're probably the dirtiest team in the competition, and after seeing them against the Scum, I think it's better we don't risk him, and Kewell also, and instead play Kuyt and Crouch as others have said. I also wouldn't be surprised if Riise is back in place of Arbeloa and Sissoko and Mascherano both play with Gerrard on the right and Babel on the left.

                      ------------Reina------------
                      Finnan-Carragher-Hyypia-Riise
                      Gerrard-Sissoko-Mascherano-Babel
                      --------Kuyt-Crouch--------

We have nt got a game the midweek after playing Bolton so I think playing Torres is definitely the way to go. I would like to see Crouch play alongside him as he caused them a lot of problems (especially in the second half) last time out, but I suspect it will be Kuyt instead.

                          Torres will start.

We can't underestimate this Bolton side, i fear the ever increasing moany Anfield crowd getting on the players backs if we haven't scored in the first 30mins.
In saying that i expect another Liverpool win but it won't be a walkover by any means.
Three points is three points though.

Agger broke down again. Its rumoured that he faces another 2 weeks out. So expect to see him back against Marseille or Man Utd.
