If DIC are seriously interested no wonder Parry looked so depressed the other day. He knows he wont be able to set foot inside Anfield if the Sheik takes over.

Don't see how someone like DIC coming on board in place of Hicks would be much better in the longrun, boils down to having 2 leaders / decision makers again and once there is a difference of opinion in direction of the club / investment of players etc we would be back to square one again
At a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly

My only real problems with this story is the £1bn valuation, I don't think that Hicks would think the club is worth that and also ony 1 paper has it. I would think there are other papers with stronger links in the city than the Mirror. If several papers had used the story today I would take a little more notice.

Manager power, player power, fan power - which did the job?
                  * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

It seems like Hicks is unwilling to invest more money into the team, so this makes some sense.

Would you put in more money into something you're not interested in anymore?

I really hope it's true, even if it hurts our January spending, I want that cowboy out of my club. He's nothing but trouble.

I'm not surprised, maybe because I told you that this would probably happen.

                        Fantastic news, if true.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Hicks wanted to buy Roma but Sensi don't want to sell to a foreigner.

People............the daily mirror, and Dave Maddocks.........please, some perspective here!!!
this srtuff was mentioned in a thread a cuope of days ago, so its been picked up and attributed to a 'city analyst', which is as reliable as 'a source close to...'!!!!!!
It may or may not be true, but what i find annoying is the knee jerk reactions and polarisation of some peole here. hicks is the bady here and nothing will change his stance apparently. based on what? oh yes, a cuoe of responses to rafas ill considered statements.
time for a communal winding in of necks i think.

I hope Hicks stays. He has got a billion pounds!

-It took a long time us to secure financial backing.
-He showed real ambition by expanding the stadium plans.
-I have only ever heard good things from him. Anything else is hearsay.

I hope he grows to love Liverpool like we do.
