No one know if the seven year plan they had is true or not. I find it very strange that the story appeared just before G&H made their bid.

Not a bad way to considerably weaken your worst rival.
Noone is going to a Billion pounds for us. Surely you know this so why entertain the idea.

They are businessmen, they will not buy our club for that much. You are using paper speculation as proof mate, don't be taken in by it. If all that has been said by people about them were true then I would be more than happy for them to own the club but it wont happen. For a start I suspect Gillett wants to keep hold of the club, I really believe this guy loves what he has seen so far - the whole bit about standing open mouthed watching the kop during the barca game.

The club isn't even worth $1bn.
He paid £170m (£280m inc. clearing club debt) in Feb.

AFII, i don't think i've ever seen you type more bull**** into a thread.

so paying 5 times over the odds for liverpool, would make DIC prove they are not just in it for the money? no, it would prove they were ****ing stupid. They'd be giving money to Americans which could be easily spent on transfers.

So does Hicks value his share or the club at 1 billion? If its the club then 500mil for Hicks is more or less double money isnt it? Decent return for 10 months. Dic wont be back. Gillett will be finding the buyer not leaving it to chance. He'll find someone he can work with not just let Hicks sell to any old ****er/consortium.

Although, Id like a grander stadium.

No smoke without fire. I think there is something to this story and it would not surprise me to see Hicks sell his share - there were those rumours about him wanting to buy Roma as well.

Talk of DIC is just speculation, but I wish it were true as I believe they would take us up to the next level in terms of financial muscle and promotionof the brand name worldwide.

I've been paying attention to his posts in this thread and yes, I've been gob smacked by some of his assumptions.

If, and I emphasise the IF, the 1Bill price has some basis it would be the value of the club as Hicks sees it including the commitment to the stadium. It would be a starting point that would be negotiated down, obviously.

Having said all that I would take this report with a pinch of salt.
