    Told you so

The lad is a joy to watch in action. We are now a two man team, him and Gerrard stand out from the rest by a distance. I dont really like the term "world class" but these two fit the bill with ease. I think he will be the best forward in the world over the next few years.

Maybe I'm grotesquely biased but I think he's the best centre forward in the world NOW.

Maybe only Eto'o and Drogba can rival him - but Eto'o hasn't played any football for a while and, well....while Drogba is always so effective, Torres is better.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I thought that honor was for Paul Stewart.

              Have to say....me too

              Immense player.
              Francis.

...."Any team that concedes as few goals as we concede is going to be tough to play against..." - Fernando Torres on Liverpool

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left

              A defensive mid for £18m?

Torres, Zlatan and Drogba are the three best centre forwards if you ask me. Eto'o isn't that good in the air or when he plays against a tough playing team.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It won't happen & I hate the fat prick but can you imagine Torres & Rooney together? Now that would = unstoppable.

Rooney is to injury prone but he is a great player. Fergie made the mistake to play him in to many games to early in his career. When you consider the playing style he has then it makes it even more foolish.

His body wasn't prepared to take the punishment it got with all the tough challenges even that he is built like a rock.

A player with a less physical playing style would probably have coped better in that stage of the career.

but he recovers bloody quick. we over played fowler & owen too. they were slight but I think the amount of games took their toll in the end.

Probably why Rafa takes it so easy with our young players, he won't risk the long term fitness of the player.

Sorry, what are you basing that on? Rooney's not injury prone. He was out long term last year with a broken foot, but that hardly makes him injury prone.

dont know whether you recall a thread back in the koptalk days about somatotypes.

rooney is an endomorph - a well trained, muscled up one, but an endomorph nonetheless.

i would predict hell play all his best football before his mid 20's and will struggle to play beyond 30 when injuries and weight problems will catch up with him. same would be true of maradona or indeed tevez.

most of the outfielders who've had long careers have been ectomorphs ie skinny genetically: rush, gary mcallister, strachan etc..

my vote is that fergiescum is doing the right thing for his club in extracting the maximum from the granny shagger. the writings on the wall for rooney - hes a world class talent but his times likely to be limited.

rooney took twice as long for his metatarsal fracture to heal as a healthy adult male of his age should. he was advised to change his diet as although well nourished in calorie terms, it was believed by medical staff that he was eating a diet lacking in certain micronutrients/vitamins (ie crap!)
