    The new Romario but quicker.

Give him two, three years and his body strength will be better and that means that he will be more or less unstoppable.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Class act and ive said it since we were linked with him in the summer never had any doubts about how good he would be

If we signed this guy, we would play Arsenal off the park.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Am I the only one here that feels we DON'T need a central defender? Carra, Agger, Sami, and now Hobbs to cover for a double injury. Any other CD (no Fredo, that doesn't mean cross dresser) would push Hobbs back in the list and he'd never get any playtime. I honestly think we are covered at that position, and have proven so with our run of clean sheets even with Agger out!!!

Do you ever want to see Hyypia face Drogba again?

            How about Rooney and Tevez?

            I know my answer.

to be fair I doubt hyypia will be around after the end of next season, so that will leave us with Carra, Agger, New CB, and hopefully hobbs after he's had a loan or a run of games and we know we can count on him. So we do need to get someone in, although i don't think it should be kaladze, he's too old imo and just seems like a stop gap

I noticed on my way out of the shop earlier that Torres is the 'cover star' of the latest edition of Four Four Two magazine (January 2008!). It says "the hottest star in the Premiership".

Anyone got it and fancy scanning it in?

As good as the boy is....and he is very good! He needs to start using his left foot a bit more, Michael Owen adapted his game by learning to using his left foot, Torres needs to start doing it now.

He has the potential to be so much better than he already is.

I'm not sure but the reticence that Rafa has shown in bringing Hobbs into the team in relatively easy games such as Fulham makes me feel we need another CB. I think Sami is good for this season and despite what some say has been good in a lot of games against pace and what ever else has been put against him. However the fact is he can't play two/three games a week at his full ability. If Rafa lacks confidence in Hobbs we need another Cb to bed in for next season. It is not just a short term problem IMO.

I would rather a LB/CB who would be useful for the squad even when we are without injuries but those of the quality we need are rare.

I'm all for bringing Aguero and a Central Defender in. I'm sure Rafa will have one eye on Kewell's fitness too.

I don't know how Leto is doing but I hope he is starting to improve otherwise Rafa will want to look for reinforcements there too.

Maybe we are getting close to doing what Manure do which is bring in one world class player each season like they did with Ferdinand, Rooney, Hargreaves etc.

We have a world class team now apart from a few top class players which are getting on a bit. Lets underline our intent and go for Aguero I say!

He's already scored a few goals with his left?

                            Derby at home, Reading away....

In fact I've been impressed with his left peg. And his aerial strength. He's got the lot, can score any type of goal and, IMO anyway, doesn't have a weakness on his left side.

And Fulham, he's good with both feet and in the air.

He must be a nightmare to play against. He has the pace to play on the shoulder of the last defender, and the skill to come deep and take players on, and his finishing has been superb. He actually reminds me of how Ronaldo used to play (before discovering the joys of over-eating), although he's not at that level.

Torres is class but the Ronaldo of old was out of this world.
