I hope so mate. I guess 2 things can confirm their stance on Rafa now. Either they come out and say he is safe or they let him get some players in January. If we sign no one and they say nothing concrete, then thats Rafa gone in the summer I reckon.Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

In a way I prefer what they are doing in that at least it is honest. They can't guarantee that - if Rafa finished 5th and we lose against Marseille then they will almost certainly sack him (and a good number on here for example were saying if we didn't improve in the league this year he should go).Originally posted by The Glove View PostUntil he actually says, 'Rafa is going no where' then I dont believe Rafa is 100% safe."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

While thats true, thats for the end of the season, it appears the threat is now. I agree they cant say he is 100% safe but they could atleast say that they support Roffa and tell the fans its all ok so ignore what you are reading.Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

I think his statement makes his intentions to meet with Rafa and back him in the short term fairly clear. I'm not sure how I would have wanted him to word what he said as he had to avoid making it interpretable by the media as a threat at the end of the season. I thought it was a very positive, I also take it as a good sign that everyone appears to have decided on the company line of a 'misunderstanding' and is sticking to it. Too much crap has been said in the media and to many quotes have been over analysed and I just want them to calm it all down.Originally posted by The Glove View PostWhile thats true, thats for the end of the season, it appears the threat is now. For me the guy lost all credibility in the summer when he was going on about us not signing Torres etc and were looking at players like Defoe. He even admitted on talksport his article was based on his own assumptionsI know I'll often stop and think about them, In My Life, I love you more - 96

Seriously - can we put all this rubbish behind us now - it was a joke built up by the press to begin with. That it reached crisis proportions on here was hysterical. Let's beat Bolton today and keep our momentum going.
Sack Rafa indeed!"Every time i sit around i find i'm shot."

for me its all true and rafa was inches from the sack.
it seems that rafa has redeemed himself after the petulance and hicks has been man enough to readdress what happened with an open mind and has understood rafa and said lets work it out and avoid it happening again - even if he'll never accept that rafa was right to get vocal the way he did.
It all seems like everything came out into the media which is an embarrassing way to do things. but if where we stand today is correct and everyone is man enough to admit where they were wrong then we'll be stronger for it.
only time will tell what happens to rafa but i think this episide is forgiven if not forgotten.
long live the rafalution...

But he won't have anything to answer for.Originally posted by Morph View Postwait a minute wasn't this mullock fella one of the gob****es who said he was on his way out, if this story is true (and who really knows these days) then good news - also that **** bascombe has a lot to answer for
He can claim the story was factual at the time and that he would've been wrong not to publish it.
And lets be honest here, I bet a few reds bought the NOTW, so they made some ****in coin out of it. Result for them.
It was all one big ****efest from start to finish. Quite a few people here embarrassed themselves with hysterical xenophobic rantings.
Logging on here and reading some of the posts literally made me cringe. Shameful.
Hopefully for some it's lesson learned.I hate Polanski

Another one was (paraphrasing here); "That Rafa would have no more money to spend than he did under Moores."
Oh dear.I hate Polanski
