The Scum always pull a trick at the last minute- they need some injuries. Hopefully, we inflict it upon them. If we beat Chelsea at the Bridge, I'm guessing in January, I think Chelsea will be knocked out and fingers crossed, we can win the holy grail.
No offence mate, but i think that's nonsense. If we win the majority of the games we 'should' win, then as long as we dont lose against the other 3, we'll win the title.

Adebayor won`t go. Togo didn`t qualify but Toure will be big loss. With Senderos they almost dropped 2 points against Sunderland at home. Anyway they have so much quality going forward that even if they would lose adebayor wouldn`t make too much difference. I think that if they can be exposed it will be at the back. If Toure is not there and Gallas gets injured plenty of teams will have a chance to score goal or 2 against them. Gilberto looks completely out of form so won`t be as good cover as he used to. Than their keepers are not that good. Almunia is no more than decent, Lehmann nothing more than disruption in a camp and Fabianski too young and untried.

Cheers for the togo info, how did I not knw that

OK, but Toure will be a BIG loss for them, he's a cracking defender with good pace to get himself out of difficult situations.

            Arsenal will falter...FACT

It's the other two I'm concerned with.

We have to beat the Mancs in two weeks to give the whole league a ****in message.

In a way I think that Arsenal have faltered of late in the sense that they have struggles to put a decent performance in the last few weeks for more than about half a match. The worry is that like United last season that is the extent of their blip.

We still have a game against them and they will certainly drop some points other than that but then so will we. It is foolish to dismiss them at this stage.

Having said that much like United were last year they are mostly a first XI squad and it is possible that injuries could derail them. You can't count on that though.

Of the top 4 I think Chelsea are the team who I think lack players to change a game from the bench and with Drogba, Essien and Mikel off to the African Cup of Nations would be my favourites to drop out of the title race.

Now watch Arsenal get an injury or two at the back over Chrimbo, (Gallas or Toure, the most influential..) and they will start conceding goals.

That is when we have to be ready to pounce. Toure is also on his way to the African Nations as has been pointed out here. That will weaken them.

As for Sagna, is he French, or does he also go to the African Nations?
I reckon that ****house Eboue also will go there.

Does anyone know if they will get Djorou back or is he at Brum for the entire season? I think Senderos has potential but currently there is always a mistake in him and you are right without Toure they might struggle at the back.

Djorou will return to Arsenal in January.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think that'll happen in their next game, they'll beat Arsenal 1-0 or something stupid.
lol, that's true. you never know what you get when you play them. either they're fecking hard to beat or a walkover. there's not really much in between.
i do think though that the arse will win this game

I just checked. Bagna is a French international.

So Eboue and Toure will be gone then.
They will miss Toure. If they get an injury at the back in addition to this they will struggle.

Theres no doubt we can win the league this season but equally i'm sure fans of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U are saying the same thing.

I think alot depends on injuries. If we lost SG or Torres long term, that would be it. Ditto Drogba and Lampard at Chelsea, rooney & Ronaldo at Utd and Fabregas & Hleb at the Arsenal.

You would hope our strong squad will pay dividends as the season progresses but it may well depend on our away efforts at our major rivals. We've got to play them all away and can't afford to lose to our major rivals as its hard to see all 4 teams dropping too many points.

The title chase is on, any 1 of 4 can win it but at least this season we are in with a genuine shout, not a dozen points adrift by Xmas.

We're coming up the hill boys! But we really need a win against one of the bigger sides to send the confidence soaring. We soooooooooo owe those United kuntz a beating after Rio and O'Shea's late goals in games where it should either have finished 0-0 or about 3-0 to us - dream scenario is a Neville last minute cock-up letting us in for an injury time winner. I'm banking on our good form and a bit of karma to put the Mancs to the sword, those *******s can't stay lucky against us forever. I just hope Rafa doesn't approach these six-pointers at home with undue caution.

We're quite fortunate that our period of horrible football didn't result in us dropping too far behind. We're very well placed now for a traditional strong run from here to the finishing post and if we keep key men fit and have anything like the amount of luck United got last year, then we can at least be fighting for the title going into the last game of the year and how long has it been since that was true?
