... not sure he should be saying it quite like this tho.
Fernando Torres has warned that if Rafa Benitez leaves Liverpool a number of the players may also think about moving on.
Benitez's relationship with club owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett has become strained in recent weeks and there has been speculation about his future.
However, Torres, who was brought to Anfield by Benitez in the summer, insists the players are so loyal to the manager they would have to consider their options if he was sacked.
The Spaniard was also happy with the way the Anfield crowd showed their support for Benitez in the 4-0 victory over Bolton on Sunday.
"He cannot leave. The fans have given their verdict and it was clear,"
"Benitez has created a team of people who are indebted to him. It's certain if he goes many players will think about their futures.
"Benitez is not just another manager. He created a team and put his faith in players that owe him a lot."
Torres produced a stunning performance against Bolton and netted Liverpool's second goal, but Benitez paid tribute to the effort of the whole team.
"It is great to have a striker who is capable of who can give you 20 goals a season but it is easier for defenders if he is the only man they have to worry about," said Benitez.
"You also need others who will give you 15 and players who can score important goals - and we have that."
As far as i can see this report appeared in a certain newspaper, now i think it was probably just part of the postmatch interviews so i doubt they spoke exclusively to torres or rafa, but thought i'd add this at the end just in case anyone brought it up
